Great video! That was really well presented, informative, and easy to follow. The way you paced the video, I was shocked to see all 13 minutes had already passed. I liked how you had multiple examples, especially with the furnaces. If you make anymore mod spotlights I'll be sure to watch. I just got 2 more knowledge after Pouches and was considering unlocking SSN, but wanted some more info on it before doing so. I'm definitely going to get it after watching. Downside is I'll finally have to upgrade my base from something more than just a few chests sitting out in the open....

Thanks for this great video. I'm not technically minded &, tbh, sometimes things like this outface me & I avoid them. (I was never like this before but lost my confidence when serious chronic health issues left me bedbound for the first time.) I realised my storage system is like a bomb site & have decided to do something about. I'm determined to use simple storage & start setting it up today. I like this mod. And this video really helped out. Im so used to Tom's Simple storage. Both are pretty good, and both have their pros and cons. Cant really tell which is better. Although, I gotta say, with Tom's you can atleast just make a giant hole of only chests and they're all already linked. Haha

The storage system is only recognizing the bottom half or top half of my double chests? Depending on if the link cable is connecting to the left or right of the chest?

whats the requires red stone button, i was thinking you could set up a redstone lever to easily turn a automated system on and off but im not sure

Late comment but im having an issue where the coal wont go into the furnaces at all but the ores will, set he filter to exactly what the videos shows

I love simple storage. I'm use to it thanks to Sky Factory 4. It's so easy to make a big storage network but the bigger and bigger it gets the more lag you'll get in your world. But even with that and a little work you can make some rudimentary automation with it (only simple things)

Helpful vid. In Vault Hunters and trying this for the first time, But how do you get access to the request block to craft on the storage system? It doesnt have a recipe in the craft table that i saw.

Can you not upgrade to the storage request table anymore?

Does this mod allow you to transfer items from one chest to another?

Do you have to connect a network collection interface with import cables? Right now I have it placed next to the storage inventory but it's not placing anything into the storage

It doesn't need to be connected by import cables but it does need to be connected with network cables I think

When combining two chests together to double the inventory, Simple Storage Network only sees the first 3 rows. So the second 3 rows you get from combining two chests is wasted. Any help with this?

I just connected another set of link cables to both sides of the double chest, and it seemed to work. Annoyingly requires 2x the cables but it is what it is

I cant get import cables tp appear

Did you go over the remote? If so please tell me the time stamp. Ive been trying to link different remotes to different network storage root's so I can have multiple storages but it doesn't work.

It's possible your chests may be connected to more than one link cable, that will trick the system into showing duplicate items so make sure it's one link cable to one chest

In the latest version of the assembly, the ability to craft from the network is disabled. Sad :(

i got this mod today but it has no storage root.......

The import export feature has been removed/nerfed for vault hunters. Not sure which update, but currently upate 11 there's no import/export nor crafting grid D:

Could it be that the import and export cables aren't in the mod pack for Vault Hunters anymore? Can't seem to find them. Great video, you explain these things so well. I was trying to put a 'overflow' colossal chest as I'm building my system out of drawers and wanted to see which items don't get picked up. But my colossal chest just takes everything for itself haha

Hey so I'm playing on skyblock, this modpack is probably the best in terms of size and beginner friendliness I do have a question though, shere can I find the upgrades? I don't know if vh is bugged since it doesn't show how to obtain it or if its something you just get randomly

I prefer Toms storage mod. It's a good early Refined Storage mod and works with Sophisticated Storage.

Awesone guide. I have some questions if someone can explain. 1-Does the interface needs to be adjacent to the root? If not: 2-Can i connect multiple interfaces to the same root by cables? For example have 1 interface in each of a 2 story building. Thank you!

1. Nope! 2. Yes! Roots can be anywhere in your network (just makes sure there is only ONE), and you can have as many interfaces as you want in your world!

I'm not sure what you mean, simple storage network is a storage mod and doesn't involve chunk claiming

We need an update for this vido it seams like they removed some stuff

simple storage combined with a colossal chest and drawer system is the perfect storage system and personally, I think the colossal chest is better than refined storage since its so cheap to make the colossal and you can make multiple of them

Honestly yeah, the only reason RS or AE outclasses them is auto crafting and the more advanced functions like liquid storage and block breaking

But still refind storage is an amazing end game storage system I used to use that combination on lvl 15 but when I reached lvl 50 and unlocked powah and create mods(to give power to the system) I went directly for refind storage +In the new update we don't have on simple storage system that link cables and crafting thing and the remotes
