    Sir why the string is weightless And the bob is always spherical ?

  • @fahadtariq98

    @fahadtariq98

    5 жыл бұрын

    1) The string is not weightless, it has some weight but its weight is too less so we neglect its weight. 2) There are many reasons we take the object like a sphere. One of the reason is: the sphere object has the center of gravity in its center that's why the bob remains the same during its motion and it doesn't lose its balance. While the other objects with different shapes (like rectangle, triangle, etc.) will create many problems during motion so we take a spherical bob. Hope it helps!!

    HOW FORCE IS IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF DISPLACEMENT ?NOT GETTING PLEASE HELP.

  • @ThePremez

    @ThePremez

    The force always acts towards the equilibrium position (due to gravity) and the displacement is positive when it is moving away from the equilibrium position. That's all

    Sir what is positive and negative displacement?

  • @seth5119

    @seth5119

    2 жыл бұрын

    With repect to the X axis, as the mass swings towards position 1, we can say that its displacement is towards the negative X direction, and as it swings to position 3, we can say that its displacement is towards the positive X direction. Since we are taking position 2 to be our zero point, or point of equilibrium.

    You said so much, however you guys never confirm what the Kinetic energy force actually is at half of the descent to the KE, by starting at 100 J which is be beginning PE value, which is at 100 Joules KE (all the way at the bottom of the pendulum swing), and the back to 0 Joules KE all the way at the top. Then you also never confirm the same for the other side; half way to the bottom/half way to the top. How many jewels is that? PE = KE. All you guys mention at that point is that Your formula and cancellations to make the equivalent look great. If you begin with 100 J for the PE, then at half the pendulum swing when the pendulum is all the way at the bottom and KE is 100 J, what is the PE and the KE, when the pendulum is half way between the top point of release and the bottom/end of the kinetic energy drop. Same on the other side; which appears to me to be at energy level 50J, half. Please confirm me because I see no actual data calculations any place. Just formulas. Thank you.

    Why would you use F=-kx as a restoring force for the simple pendulum. The equation applies to elastic materials (Hooke's law) where the force is proportional to the elongation. Maybe you could use the general definition of simple harmonic motion (a = -w^2x) to derive the frequency. -mgx/L = -ma = -mw^2x ---- Simplifying, w=sqr (g/L)
