Simple neural cellular automata
Ғылым және технология
This video is a collection of simple neural cellular automata I found while playing with my new website, neuralpatterns.io. Every pixel looks at its immediate neighbors and computes it's next value using a convolution algorithm, which is explained more in depth on the website.
I am planning a follow up video that explains the algorithm more in depth. Stay tuned!
I had a ton of fun making neural patterns, and encourage you to play with it yourself. Many patterns are not friendly to video compression, and look much better on the actual website.

Working on it!
I really like this video. Thank you to make us discover the actual website, i'l go check for my self and my students.
I promise it looks WAY better on the actual website: neuralpatterns.io Follow me on twitter for updates on my projects/videos: twitter.com/max_romana
2:12 looks awesome
1:57 looks a lot like the game of life.

I like the new channel name :)
Neat stuff!

I don't know why but cellular automata fascinate me so much...

Because it's the origin of complexity... simplicity.

It's why it facinates me. Humans are simulations on the brains of apes.
I wish I could code my own cellular automata stuff. Or some evolution simulations.

@@2by4music I'm not good enough at coding. I tried with my limited knowledge, but I always get very poor performance and it never goes anywhere. I can't even test what I need to test, to see if I'm doing it in the right way.
nice
The bitrate simply cannot handle this lol
What.....what even are these its like i waves but so i cant describe it.....
1:17 looks like some bacteria wow!
is this inspired by Sebastian Lague?
can I have the preset for the one at 0:13 - 0:38 ?

You should probably put a seizure warning on this video. The flashing colors are a bit hard on the eyes.
