Simple Minnesota Homestead: Burning Brush, Cabin Addition Wiring And Insulation
Ойын-сауық
I was finally able to burn some brush at our off grid homestead. I also ran wire in the new addition, and have the walls insulated. Won’t be long and it will be finished. Thanks for watching!

I like the idea of a detailed, step by step video series of a cabin build!
You are quite a kid, Kyle. Much respect for your work ethic. I'm 71 and admire the effort you put into providing for your family. Keep it up and you will prosper. Like the wife too for supporting your plans!
I wish more young people were like you.
Kyle…how generous of you to do that video for young men and women who never built anything. Bless you for sharing that info. You will certainly bless someone…❤
Friday night with Kyle and his cabin!
Oh to be 40 years younger (and everything at those prices 40 years ago!!!). Must be a major blessing to utilize such a valuable resource as KZread for income and referencing! Keep up the great work!

I see Skeeter & the cat were supervising..you’re an inspiration to many with your videos..
I appreciate your wanting to help beginners by doing a completely detailed cabin build project, thanks
I think you should write a book w pictures on how you build a cabin. You definitely know how to. From picking out the trees to stripping the bark, etc.

As always, great job. You would make any grandmother very very proud to have you as their grandson Kyle!
Looking forward to the next detailed build. Many of us have been waiting for that type of series. Thank you.

Kyle started a log home, there are past videos. amazing felling all the logs, peeling them and set in place all by himself! Kyle is amazingly motivated!!
Step by step instructions to build a cabin would be A GREAT IDEA!!!!! You are a very smart young man!!!!! You not only entertain people, you help them out too. You're an amazing guy!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!! 🙏❤🙏
Your cabin build series sounds like a good idea. You're right that it would be a guide to help with building materials and instruction for the complete build. Very interesting project. Amazing how much you completed in the bedroom addition in this video. 💖💖💖
A new series about a cabin with breakdown of costs and tools ect. would be very helpful to many people. Great idea!
How wonderful you are to share and show folks how to build a cabin. You are our kind of guy. Blessings.❤
You guys are awesome! Glad your both safe out there. God bless 🙏
What a great idea Kyle about the cabin build brother, if you build it we will watch, love how you are a hammer man and not screws, great video
Thank You, Kyle, for freely sharing your expertise, and wisdom with all! The world will be a better place when everyone realizes that this is how it should always be. Great respect for You, and Cierra.❤
Such a peaceful break from the world's chaos. You guys have the right idea!

Thanks for the great videos and don’t work too hard !
We’re looking at getting property soon so I am all for your step by step building guide!
It seens to be raining all over the continent! Great video. All the best to Cierra on her pregnancy. 👍🇨🇦😎💝
Yes please do that video series. I would appreciate it.
The cabin build series would be awesome! Wanting a small building on our property. Have completed basement Reno’s and some carpentry projects but never built a stand alone structure and would definelty find it helpful!
Love your work ethic buddy, you're killin it. All respect
Every time I watch your videos it so amazing how you do everything from building your house taking care of your property you’re chickens building you log cabin you definitely one of a kind you’re so talented and hard working!! Cierra is so lucky to had met such a nice guy like you and you definitely going to be a great dad!! Until your next video stay safe stay strong and god bless you and your little family my friend 🙏❤️✌🏼
You are a great inspiration for all of us. I really appreciated your compassion for those around you who had storm damage worse than yours. Forge onward, Sir!
Love the idea of the detailed explanation. Two things I‘d especially appreciate in this is one whole video just on foundation and how to choose the right one. This depends on the type of ground you have on your build site and stuff and I haven‘t found good explanations on this. The second one is the proper terms being used in construction so one could search for more details on the math and statistics for it. Thank you for your cool videos, you make it look very easy 😅
Very interested in having a detailed video series of the cabin build. That is something I’ve been hoping you would put out :-). Step-by-step instructions that I can follow.
Love and enjoy watching your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and Sierra and working on the homestead and cleaning up the homestead
Wow! Goats absolutely love the leaves on trees and bushes.
Kyle, I think that's a great idea a step-by-step build. And make your videos 30 minutes to maybe 38 minutes long . I enjoy watching longer videos. Especially the kind you produce. With a baby on the way, you should probably consider some kind of a bunker storm shelter into the ground. Also, on your homestead. Keep up the great work I enjoy every minute.

I could definitely stay tuned in for a half hour at a time! I’m with ya!
Great idea to do an in-depth video for people to follow and make a basic cabin. As you say some of us have no idea where we would start! Likewise a lot no longer have extended family who can pass on that skill. It is a dying skill. ❤
I love the idea of a super detailed build series!!!
Kyle thank you for all your hard work. I try to watch as much as possible. You are a mentor to many! This world has changed. You are a real motivator 👍 everything you do continues to get better and grow 👍 much respect!
Yes make it all match . It will look so good.
That addition is going to be nice! The kitty thought you were playing with him with the tape measure 😊
Kyle that's a great idea a step by step on how to build a house. Blessings to you and Cierra and baby .😊🇺🇲
Glad you are all safe. I have one tree felled on my land. Now I just need a bunch more. Lol
You guys are amazing! So impressive, all that you create. I hope that Cierra and the baby are doing well. ❤️
Kyle, definitely looking forward to your series about how to build a cabin for the beginners! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
While I won't be building my own cabin, I would love a series like that. I would like to do some reno in my basement, and eventually I'd like to build a pottery shed. A series like that would be really interesting to watch.
It would be great to have a series of videos on how to build a cabin, from start to finish, with all the details on costs and more!! As you said, on KZread there isn't much apart from some vague video where you have to figure out yourself. As a newbie into homesteading it would be really really valuable! 👌🏻
Great ideas Kyle! We'll all still watch ! Looking forward to seeing your next video 😊😊❤❤ God bless 🙌 🙏 😊
YES! on the step by step video series. The more detail the better lol
You are 1 hell of a hard working man . Kyle. great job
A friend in Mn has chickens. The town urged him to register them. As soon as he did that, they showed up 5AM, did "a test" on just one chicken & said the chicken had the bird flu so they destroyed his entire flock. First time in decades he's buying eggs at the store. Sad.

It’s anti-government for citizens to raise their own food and have gardens. They want to control the food we eat .
I’m so excited to see the detailed cabin build!!! Thank you for making it accessible to people who want to build on their own but are nervous to start!!!!
This channel has quickly become one of my favorite watches on YT - Kyle gets sh*t done!

I was watching Mountain Men and almost missed you Kyle. Convenient rain huh, right on time too. Freedom is everything.
Kyle you are one of the hardest homesteaders on U Tube...you work efficiently get things done!! We're from Esko, Mn just south of you!! Best wishes to Sierra as she goes through her pregnancy!!
Hey Kyle. I really like that idea for the new cabin build on the new property. We have quite the storm up here in Northern Ontario Canada. Also nice looking addition, it’s coming along nicely. Thanks again for another video.
Thanks for another great video Kyle. You amaze me how much you have learned over the years and thank you for sharing it all.
That would be super helpful and awesome! Thank you
Step by step build would be Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I think that would be awesome. A breakdown would be perfect. Keep those videos coming.
Looking forward to the step-by-step cabin building video series! Very eager to follow along and learn!
I think your idea for in depth documenting of the new build is a great idea. Been watching your videos since you started. Huge fan. I’m hoping to start my own homestead in the next year or two. I’ll need guidance on my first build! Keep up the great work bud!
Please do that series Kyle that would be awesome!
Love the rustic pine boards, can imagine it will look fantastic!!
I love the idea of a step by step video series, if it can help someone out, I’m all for watching it, sounds great!
Kyle, I can never leave enough thumbs up for your channel. It's simply a pleasure to follow you in your journey. Be safe and be blessed.
I love how you share what and why you do things.
Kyle, you have one heck of a work ethic. I would love to meet your folks.
That's a great idea for the detailed cabin build series. I just started my own small cabin build on my property in upstate NY. I've never attempted this before and I watched a lot of your previous cabin build videos. I'm using many of your ideas including the foundation. Thanks for all your great content!
I agree with you that step by step detailed build series could be a very good thing for your channel.
Love cabin builds!😊
Really looking forward to the next build series. Thanks for doing this man
Step by step sounds awesome! Can’t wait to watch your journey!
Always enjoy your videos!
Nice Work!
Rock on Kyle and Cierra ! Have a good week !
Can't wait for the new build series!
I really enjoy your videos. I would like for you to make some videos longer. I know that it would be hard to do , but just as I started getting interested it's over. Keep on keeping on Kyle.
Idk if I ever commented on your videos? Bro, your solid af, keep doing what you’re doing!
Wow Kyle thanks very much- looking forward to the detailed overview of how you build things on your video series Appreciate the opportunity and your community mindedness in which like-minded people who don't have construction experience can try to expand their territory without just being stuck in an apartment that.would really help a lot of us who look at your channel and realize it's way past time to get out of the city and again thank you for your faith to outreach and expand your territory it's been an inspiration to others and an encouragement to be watching your Channel
Enjoyed again, Kyle and Cierra Ykes Skeeter on vacation 😊
Wishing you kids all the best.
I'd love the details on the new cabin build. 16x24 is what I was considering for a future first build.

I look forward to your upcoming series on the itemized build. I too am someone who never built anything. I enjoy your videos and look forward to the series. I have property in northern wi. And want to build a small cabin for my wife and I. Thanks for the videos, its very enjoyable and rewarding. Tim/Jude
CAN’T WAIT FOR THE STEP BY STEP CABIN BUILD WITH PLANS AND COST!!!
Interesting, thank you fo sharing✌✌✌✌✌✌
Cannot wait to see your upcoming videos. Have a fantastic weekend 😊
Looking forward to the new cabin series! I’m going to be building our off grid cabin next spring so this is perfect timing!

I bet he's pretty comfortable with his choice of channel name by now! :)
Your idea for a building series is terrific. I'd totally watch it and one day, I WILL build my own little cabin. Smart of you to buy high ground. I'm so paranoid of floods (and also filled land, as I'm in an earthquake zone) so I've always chosen to live on hilltops, that kind of thing.
I think your build series is a great idea.
Yes we want the series!
Very nice video Kyle and Cierra! Can’t wait to see how it will look in the next videos! Glad to see Cierra is doing good.
Kyle, make that next cabin two stories high
Thank you for sharing! So glad I found your channel! God bless your family!
Love your videos... Looking forward to watching you build the new cabin....
Looks awesome! Can’t wait to watch the log cabin series. Really enjoying your channel.
Kyle and Mav Collaboration would be awesome. Both guys are northern minnesota. Make it happen!
The build video would be great. I used to work construction in my youth. I learned from all my home projects that you should do a material cost estimate and a time estimate, then double it and you’ll be close. 😂😂
