Here I am in my early 50’s walking my dogs in south Texas reminiscing about my first air cadet camp back in Scotland listening to this song and other Simple Minds hits. 1192 Kdy Squadron

Hard to believe Waterfront is 39 years old and Verona was recorded 34 years ago. Still sounds so fresh and powerful- am bouncing around the house listening to it. Saw them last year in Dublin- absolutly brilliant. Hopefully they will announce a tour shortly.

absolutely quality version of Waterfront

I was there in Verona one of the two nights. I've seen some of the best live bands of the 80's / 90's in my life. This is the live performance n. 1 to me. It was absolutely fantastic !

Lucky you!! It must have been amazing live, such a great concert in such a great setting. Luckely we still have the full video here. I also saw them live a few times. They could perform like no other on stage, so powerful. They are still my no.1 as they were back in '87 when I was 18y old. I remember playing their live double-album many times so loud in my room in the dark, it was magic. The day after the neighbors from a few houses down the road were always complaining about the noise..LOL

One of the best original, talented and entertaining groups of our time, great memories and fabulous music!

They opened with this in Croke Park Dublin 86. Backed by The Waterboys. Magic day.

They opened with this when I saw them at the NEC in Brum. The whole place vibrated with the bass intro. Wonderful

Saw Simple Minds 1986 Auckland, open with Waterfront. Haunted ever since. Backed up by Dance Exponents..undersunh NZ. Brilliant.

I was born in 81 and remember the 80's well, was a kid in 80's and teenager in the 90's :-]

Ive seen them many, many years ago as 'support act' for Peter Gabriel in Utrecht, Vredenburg... They were very young like boys but they were very, very GOOD....

Meaningful, purposeful, emotional and passionate.

jim kerr is just killin it .....he's a very under rated front man ...this band just ROCKS !!!!!

1986 Palasport di Piazza Azzarita a Bologna - i Simple Minds che ipnotizzavano il loro popolo, tra cui il sottoscritto, con la loro meravigliosa musica - migliaia a ballare sugli spalti, avresti voluto che il concerto non finisse mai ed era impossibile stancarsi perchè i SM ci trasmettevano energia. Did they finish with this number at Hammersmith Odeon (I think) in 1983? I remember it as the most dramatic finish to a concert I've ever seen. Who else was there? I know I wasn't the only one in the audience.😂

I used to have this concert on VHS tape and I got my ex boyfriend into their music.. He loved Jim Kerrs highkicks and the way he moved his hands etc.. He had a amazing stage presence.. I took the ex to see them live in Glasgow around 2002..I was 22 and it was my first concert and still stands out as one of the best live concerts I've been too.. When we used to have a drink at the weekend's this concert on VHS would get played every other weekend lol.. Jim's energy on stage is awesome. x🎤💙🙏SIMPLE MIND'S are Simply amazing.. x

Im glad i grew up in the 90`s so i could experience this amazing music when i grow older, dosnt matter if you grew up at a certain time.

This is still such an amazing track, still get goose-bumps when it starts, my way of knowing a song is a classic.
