Simple Minds may just be one of the best groups of all time. Saw them in 2006 and they are still as good if not better, quite remarkable band.

My God, Charlie's solo on Book Of Brilliant Things is seriously to die for.

Tuve la suerte de estar en el mítico concierto del estadio de fútbol de la UD Levante de Valencia el 17 de agosto de1986 y posteriormente en el velódromo Lluis Puig allá por abril de 1995. Es evidente que se acusa la falta del tiempo y la pérdida de algunos de sus componentes en la banda, pero hay que reconocer que siguen en la brecha y bastante fieles a su estilo. No puedo hacer otra cosa más que elogiar a este grupo pues los empecé a vivir cuando prácticamente nadie los conocía. El primer disco que tuve en mi poder fue el maxi de "Speed Your Love To me" (recién salido) y fue la discoteca Espiral (en la Eliana de Valencia) desde 1981 la que nos retroactivó con canciones como "Love Song" o "Theme for the Great Cityes" (incluso temas anteriores). Gracias a eso pude adquirir todos sus vinilos anteriores y los posteriores hasta que aparecieroron los CD's. Los guardo como una joya (así como sus maxi-singles). Siempre le digo a mi hijo el valor que tienen ya que se conservan como los compré puesto que los grababa en cintas de cassette (que es lo que solía oir en casa o en el coche). Y como podéis intuir está entre mis primeros grupos preferidos de los que triunfaron en los ochenta (que hubieron muchos y muy buenos). Que vivan y vivan por muchos años. Siempre han sabido reinventarse.

Yo estuve allí en 1986, llegaron en Jaguar blancos y nos cruzaron por Gran Vía Marqués del Turia dirección Campo de Fútbol del Levante, mi primer gran concierto.

Damn!!! So good this still sounds people!! Have listened to SM since early 80's and still love them as much as 1 st time I heard them! They stole my heart in music and even if I'm 80yo I still have them in my ears and they deserve to be one of the best rock groups ever made! You can't take that away from them!! Go strong SIMPLE MINDS!! Damn you sound so nice!!

Great Concert! They are fantastic band in current configuration. Love Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill as the core. I saw them in Auckland New Zealand in the mid to late 1980's after their Album "Once Upon a Time" came out. The band included Mel Gaynor on drums and Robin Clark on backing vocals was a brilliant concert!

Loved Simple Minds ever since back in the Eighties. Saw them live at Kew a few years ago. Now I think they are better than ever. 😊😊👍👍❤️

Un de mes groupes favoris depuis mon adolescence et aussi mon tout 1er concert ado (même si j'ai bien viré de bord depuis 😏🤘), un line up remanié mais, Dieu merci, on garde les 2 piliers et fondateurs du groupe 🙏, un mega grand merci à Jim Kerr et sa merveilleuse voix 😍, des tubes intemporels (et des nouveaux crus👍), bravo, je kiffe toujours autant, merci pour ce beau concert ! 🙏😉

I first saw the Minds in Tiffany's Ballroom in Glasgow in 1981, I knew back then they were going to be big, but who would have thought they'd still be playing 43 years on !!?? I live about a mile from where Jim lived. Amazing band. Jim and Charlie - you are absolute legends.

La primera vez que los vi fue en el velódromo de Barcelona a finales de la década de los 80. Un concierto de tres horas con los Silencers como teloneros. Que os voy a contar, mi grupo favorito.

He de decir que por dos veces los he visto, pero como la de Santander este verano ninguna. Se me saltan las lágrimas. Cuando vas a un concierto es lo único que le pides a los artistas: toquen lo que nos gusta. Grandiosos músicos y maravillosa gira. Una puntualización: "Book of brilliant things", Cherisse Osei y Sara Brown me rindo a sus pies

La clase nunca muere: Kerr está con las facultades intactas y Cherisse es tremenda...da gustro ver bandas así, que han mantenido su esencia y siguen en actividad. SM lanza nuevo disco en octubre, el 19° de su extensa carrera.

It's been fascinating to see how Simple Minds have evolved in terms of sound and line-up. Their early art-rock albums were amazing & although they went a bit bombastic and mainstream from the mid 80's onwards their last few albums have settled on a fairly rewarding style that meets somewhere in the middle. This current incarnation sounds great. Ged & Gordie are welcome additions, the girls bring a sensual presence & beauty to the songs they sing & Cherrise sure can thump those drums. I always thought the album version of "Speed Your Love To Me" was too full-on so i prefer the stripped down version they do here.

I met jim and charly twice during two concerts in the netherlands. We talked and shaked hands as old friends. I Will neder forget those moments. It hurts me to hear how jim is trying to perform as in the old days......

Holy Moly, people would have to go absolutely crazy to see such a great band live! That was 1:12:51 pure awesomeness!! Simple Minds is one of the most underrated bands but one hell of a live act!! 👍💪 Those great vocals and Charlie's guitar solos made my day 🙌 Thank you for being a part of our lives and bringing us real music for more than 30 years! 🫶Keep rocking the stage!!✌️

The same for me. Goosebumps during all the concert, especially during the ballads. Enjoyed the great performance of the whole band. As for me personally, Sarah Brown beats it with her opening of Books of brilliant things.
