Funny, I am or feel in the opposite way to your comment, having discovered SM in 1985 at the age of 7, SitR is the first of the albums that to me, that sounds like, or starts to sound like the Simple minds I have been a fan of for almost 40 years. I have all their albums starting on NGD and while I love 70 cities as love brings the fall (bloody amazing!) I just can't get into anything pre NGD. Cheers from Costa Rica.

@@renzokukenleneyoyo522 If you enjoy 70 Cities, chances are you might enjoy other pre-NGD tracks as well. Maybe give "Love Song" another try, as well as "Theme for Great Cities" and "In Trance as Mission".

@@110BERLIN_ I have, they have their moments and I can understand the post 1985 SM being too mainstream for people who knew them beforehand. However because post-1985 SM was the band that I heard first it became the sound that I associated with them. amazing career

This is a lovely mix, with elements of Somebody up there likes me in the mix adding to the drama.

I think this is my favourite one of yours. It's like Somebody Up There Likes You coming through from another dimension. Wonderful! 👍❤️

Crikey, how startlingly good is this? Sometimes I'm a bit wary of mixes of Simple Minds songs as I feel the band is awesome on its own. Then I found that Simple Minds thenselves do cover version mixes! This is totally mindblowing! I think Jim and Charlie would like this! 🌅🎇

The Zenith Paris live East at Easter works brilliantly here . Somebody Up ready to come in at any time ie. anticipation . How great were this band ? Every song finishes too soon !
