A shame Bastille are playing the Brighton Centre don't like it there the toilets are so bad and the crowded entrance isn't very healthy

The last time i was here i was with my wife,i lost her in october last year. She had golden hair & a golden heart this was the last song played at her funeral in holytown i cried my eyes out all the way thru this song on wednesday...i will never forget about you...you were big als glittering prize.. wee lin.x thanx jim......outstanding!!!!

It does. There was a spell about 2009 on the graffiti soul tour where I thought his rig sounded like dogshit. Saw them in Edinburgh Castle that year and thought they had an off night.

no it wasn't - the floor was standing. I had front row seats on the balcony as my partner wouldn't have been able to stand for the whole concert, unfortunately she passed away in the 2 year delay to this concert, my daughter came with me. We had a great time, while still remembering her mum, who would have loved this!

Passing on this tour, sadly. No Mel Gaynor so I won't be going. Not happy with this lineup at all.

@@watterloony So sad but not been happy for a long time. I know the dynamics have changed many times, but the Jim and Charlie thing doesn't sit right with me. Love CB to bits, seen them 30 odd times, but deeply saddened that Mel is no longer around.

I was a big fan of Simple Minds back in the 80s and i last saw them in 2006/8 where tbh they sounded ok but i definitely wouldn't see them now as they sound ratherflat but tbh it's to be expected. I was also a massive fan of The Jam but listening to Paul Weller singing some of the songs that were stamped into my youth now just makes me cringe It say's everything when 'Don't You Forget About Me' get's stretched out to over 8 minutes that has 90% of the fans up on their feet (and clapping along out of time) as it's that 'ooh stand up and dance with me Veronica, i know this one' track. Don't get me wrong, if they were playing in a pub walking distance from my house then i'm there but these big venues with mostly awful PAs and accoustics with crowds either holding up their phones or sitting on their hands is a far cry from The Jam at The Greyhound or Stlff Little Fingers Live in Aylesbury, so i'll keep my memories tight but still hope people enjoy (half of) Simple Minds in 2022. I had such a surreal moment at the London Motor Show in 2006 watching Simple Minds with 99% of the crowd i'm guessing had never seen them before. I got so many strange looks when i was the only one singing 'Gloria' through 'Ghostdancing' that people must have thought i was on the little fellas but luckily Jim didn't let me down and 99% of the crowd got educated that night from us.
