The Picking Pythagorean lol... Drum Acting (I thought only the female “drummers” with millions of views were doing this?)... 4:24 Gives it away. Obviously (now) we HEAR the true sound of this guy’s kit/playing in the last few seconds of the video and you know this guy is NOT playing “accurately” like others are praising here. I own this kit and module and there is no way the 16th notes this drum actor is conveying wouldn’t translate as audio. So this guy posts “Don’t you forget about me COVER” as the title. Um, no. This is drum acting. If you lower YOUR drum mix to hide YOUR playing (mistakes, timing issues, human feel, etc) and you only let the listeners HEAR the ORIGINAL recording, you are not “covering” this song but rather you are DRUM-ACTING. This is just terrible. Trade in your light sticks for lessons OR just tell the truth - you are DRUM-ACTING to this song instead of actually playing / translating your actual drumming. Gtfoh. Maytell does the same thing with her Tool drum “covers”. You HEAR accurate drum parts but you SEE the wrong drum hits. Don’t be like Maytell . Be an actual drummer that posts real playing. #ispelledhernamewrongandfakelikesheis #drumactor

Such a lovely kit nicely upgraded and a cover of a great song played to perfection what more could you ask... 👏
This is the tightest cover I've heard for this - great job!
I played drums for years but haven't lived anywhere I could play for 3 decades now. And this to me has always been my favorite drum part of any song, the GOAT. It's what the guy played and how it fit the song, the drum tuning & sounds. It's perfect.
This song stretches across all genres. That's iconic. And you sir know an iconic drum piece when you hear one. Very well done and appreciated.
Great job, man! Have to play this tune Saturday night and you're video helped me fill the gaps. Thank you!
Bloody beautiful mate!! A real pleasure to watch thanks
Fantástico!!! Que delicia relembrar os meus anos de ouro... a juventude em todo o seu vigor e plenitude. Anos 80, imbatíveis!!!!!

This video actually helped me learn this tune, so thanks for posting! Also, love the “Dream Theater” preset!
Nice little outro as well! This is the best drum cover of the song I've seen. Nails everything!

I think this is a great example of what drumming is actually about: to serve the song! This guy nailed it big time! Be it sound or performance, it's all too good! Cheers from Brazil!
Incredible. Yeah. I got my fist in the air . Best theme song . Thank you John Hues
Really great job. Love your drum set.
This guy is awesome. He never missed a beat. Love it!
When the lights went out in seconds I went to the 80's. Thank you very much, fantastic!
That caught my attention apparently. Especially the editing during the bridge. Very creative and very solid drumming. Kudos
I had listened to a different cover and thought he was pretty good and then discovered this man! I WOW A+
That single dislike bugs me. Crazy...this cover is flawless and on point! Happy 2019 to you!

Mel Gaynor is an underrated drummer, as showcased by your video. Well done, bro !
Love this cover. Excellent work !!!
Great playing and the addition of low light/glowing sticks was the cherry on top!!
Flawless!!! 100% impressed!
I wasnt expecting this to make my day! Well done good sir! 👏
Excellent cover. Love the light show.
Nailed it! Love the lighting effects!
Rapaz, se alguém somente ouvir esse vídeo, sem que lhe conte que é um cover, não saberá. Você foi perfeito. E que som essa sua bateria eletrônica. Muito bom mesmo!!! Parabéns!
Oh man you absolutely nailed this track. Great job and those visual effects were great too.
God I love this song, mostly because of the drums. You got those 16th notes in the bass drum too with one foot. And that crazy fill he does at the end. Those are really critical to the many special touches the drummer adds to this song.
1 of my favorite drum and cymbal combination sounds of ALL time. Mel's sound on this song is killer!
I love the editing you did during the breakdown. Well played, sir!
Great rendition, great chops, way to stay true to a great song👍👍👍
3:13....Such a nice touch! Brilliant cover to a classic song from one of the greatest films ever made
clean and smooth and those drum stick lights was awesome!!
The perfect sound, congratulations!!! My favourite band seeing 40th tour next year... you nailed it. Mel would be proud sir!
Fantastic playing. Spot on!
Just that first snare hit and I know exactly which song it is. This is what you call a 10/10 cover, incredibly accurate!
Perfectly done love it.
Great cover and great sound!! Oh yeah the drum sticks were pretty cool too😎
Amazing digital drum sound, love it, please keep going!
That cover version is so accurate note for note and there is no flamming at all. This video is great for drummers who wants to cover this classic song.
Wonderful! Fantastic cover with great theater. The the glows sticks edit brought a lot of punch to the video and interest for the viewer. Thanks for a great post!
Amazing, love this song as well and I’m a heavy metal fan as well!! Music has no boundaries that’s for sure!!!!
Man, am I glad you did this as a drum cover....I love this song! You did a great job on this. Thanks !
