    So would you say that if you want to finish with one kind of move - say, because you're better at those - you might be wise to go for the other kind of attack first?

    I'd argue that is true in just about every offensive attempt in jiu jitsu. If I want to knee slice, I usually try to bait them to sit up first, or go for a torreando, run into posts, then half circle back into a knee slice. Gotta hide your intentions when rolling, so shit will actually work
