10:26 An amount becomes 7 times in 15 years. In how many years will the same amount become 10 times? The rate of interest remains the same for both cases.
13:16 A sum becomes Rs. 3000 at the rate of 12% per annum (simple interest). The same sum becomes Rs. 3300 at the rate of 15% per annum (simple interest) in the same duration. Find the sum and the duration.
17:41 A man got Rs. 130 less, as simple interest, when he invested Rs. 2000 for 4 years as compared to investing Rs. 2250 for same duration. What is the rate of interest?
20:22 1/5 part of an amount was given at 3% simple interest, 1/3 part was given at 5% simple interest, 2/5 parts at 9% simple interest and remaining part at 11% simple interest. The total interest received was Rs. 297. How much amount was originally given?
24:21 Rs. 20400 was divided in two parts and then invested. One part invested at 6.25% for 8 years yields the same interest as the other part invested at 7% for 5 years. What is the value of smaller part?
26:52 If simple interest on a certain sum for 15 months at 7(1/2) % per annum exceeds the simple interest on the same sum for 8 months at 12(1/2)% per annum by Rs. 32.50, then the sum in Rs.
29:32 If simple interest for 2 years for a sum is Rs. 600 and compound interest for the same sum for 2 years and same rate of interest is Rs. 645, what will be the rate of interest? EASY
36:47 Aman invests Rs. 8000 at some rate of interest. Being simple interest the money doubles in 5 years. Raj sees this and invests Rs. 6250 for 3 years at same rate of interest. How much interest does Raj get?
38:19 Aman got a salary of Rs. 8600. The salary was invested by him in two parts. Find the difference between the two parts of his salary, if in first part he got some simple interest at 15% per annum in 4 years, which was same as the second part which he invested at 20% for 3 years?
39:54 Ram gets Rs. 2600 for Rs. 2000 in 5 years at some rate of simple interest. Had he invested in other places where rate of simple interest is 3% more than current rate, how much would have Ram got in same time?
45:06 Suresh for 2 years invested Rs. 500 in SBI. He also invested Rs. 300 in ICICI for 4 years. At the end he received Rs. 220 from both banks as simple interest. What must have been rate of interest?

Nice lecture sir, my doubts are cleared now. U have taken little bit hard problems from the begining of this lecture. So may be it is difficult for those students who didn't sloved some basic problems on S.I. before this lecture. But it is perfect lecture for me . U explained in simple language and quick not too much longer time. We just need more practice to solve quick. And Best of luck to all guys

Easier way to do the second sum: subtract 1 from both amounts (ex: 7 times means 1principal + 6interest, similarly for 10 times, 1principal + 9interest). We do this because your principal remains constant, your interest amount goes on increasing. Using cross multiplication: 6 x 15 9 x ? You’ll get the answer as 22.5

Really appreciate your efforts . Guys don't look for short time video , because concept may give you 10% of problem solving technique but when you start solving problems you get more clearance in your concept and this is provided here.
Humble request, please start from easy problems instead of starting from difficult ones. I couldn't understand the explanation of the difficult problems, hence had to leave the video in between. Hope you keep all kinds of students in mind while explaining.
Easier method for question 3: This will work only with simple interest so keep it in mind. The increase in ROI is 3% and the amount increased is Rs 300, therefore you can equate 1% as Rs 100 as the principal remains constant. So, 12% will be Rs 1200 interest. Subtract from Rs 3000 and you have your principal. For Time, 1200=(1800x12xT)/100 =50/9

Sir in first question, suppose if we do only using prt/100 also,we will get the same answer even though whether in question it is given quarterly or half yearly or monthly, then what is the difference using separate formulas for each?

You are amazing... Thank you for sharing such videos
When we are doing for quarterly or half yearly questions, if we multiply time and divide rate by the same number, it always gets cancelled and it becomes same as calculating yearly, so may be I think we need to multiply the time, but do not divide the rate, bcoz it stays the same for each interval the intrest is calculated
You tell it's very easy in the beginning of every question, & I tried my self but I can't solve it, then I was in dipression

In last sum of SI, the money received as interest was 220 from both bank i.e 440 total interest. But you have consider only 220 Rs while solving the problem.

I also think so.... But if we consider Rs220 nd Rs 220 from both the banks.... Then we can also calculate SI seperately and if we do it....we got 2 different rate of interest (r) 22% and 18.33%.... but acc. To question we should have common ratio (so it's correct the money comes from both the banks combine)

In question no. 1 the rate of interest is 8% quarterly. Therefore in one year it will come to 32%. and the Simple Interest for 2.5 years will be=5200. Finally the total amount =6500+5200=11700. How is it possible to get simple interest only 1300 @ 8%quarterly.
@selvaganapathy4848
5 жыл бұрын
In question they asked Quarterly what will yield... You calculate for one year. So from your answer SI=5200(one yr interest amnt) just divide it by 4(Quarter).. the answer will be SI=1300

In Question 6 (25:00), it is not mention that the smaller part is invested at 6.25% for 8 years. then there must be 2 answers for this question, if we assume that smaller part is invested at 6.25 % for 8 Years or it is invested at 7% for 5 years.
Very helpful, Sir..Thanks a lot..
Thankyou so much..God bless you and your channel🥺😌
In the second question Consider the change in interest. Only and apply the rule of rati 6 ....times in 15 years 9 times in howmany years 9*15 ------- gives 22.5 years 6
It's taking long time... Is this method useful in compititive exams? Can you please help us with some short cuts
Sir please make a video over installment
Thank you so much sir for this very helpful session.
If you are considering T As a year then how 2T can be considered as 6 months instead of 2 year
Thank you very much sir
For third question when the interest increases by 5% it will be 105/100 and when it decreases by 8% it will be 92/100 so c.i will be 5869.56
Thanku sir, very helpful...

Sir your teaching is good but please keep the board neat.... You find spaces and continue the sum it's pretty difficult to follow.
In question 4 while solving I used BODMAS. So I first solved 2250*4R/100 and 2000*4R/100 and then subtracted 100R - 80R so I got 20R which I used to divide 130, I am getting 6.5% as the answer.

Good work sir but also Please mention question type no. when questions pops up. Would be helpful.
Thank you for amazing lecture... actually,I hated ...this chapter..when I see your channel ... its became easy
Sir, in 8th question we can also solve using a formula CI - SI = (SI * R)/200, CI = 645 and SI = 600, so CI - SI = 45 45 = (600* R)/200 => 45/3 = R so we easily get Rate = 15%.
Sir, in ques no 8, can it be solved bit quicker using formula SI×R÷200.
