Simple Harmonic Motion (10 of 16): An Explanation

This video provides a step by step explanation of simple harmonic motion. You will learn the key terms that you needed to describe an oscillating mass as well as the important points in its motion where the displacement, force, acceleration and velocity will be the greatest and least.
Simple harmonic motion is a special type of periodic motion where the restoring force is directly proportional to the object's displacement. The restoring force acts towards the object's equilibrium position and results in oscillating motion. This motion will continue indefinitely as long as there is no friction or loss of energy from the system.

It is all very low budget. Everything is recorded on my MacBook, using the internal mic and camera and the presentation slides are made with Apple Keynote. I did buy a program called Screenflow that I use for recording and editing the videos. That is it. I just sit in front of my computer and start talking while showing the presentation
