Still trying to learn more about my deeper, thanks for the tips and tricks

Love mine

I bought one if these from the Warrington store, works fine, but I was just wondering What’s the best settings fir mapping a water i:e with or with out fish icons on, on basis settings et cetera, will any settings change make a more detailed map, but be got it set with god on and detailed settings on. Any advice please, oh and when I’ve mapped a small lake the depth findings are over the map of the lake !

showing using it in smooth water with just wind ripples, but how it work in wages or when a boat passes by and the wake, bobbing around would confuse the picture!

When you use the deeper where on the screen on your phone is directly below it? Is it the middle or right side of the screen? Thanks

What?

I read that "scans" you do over several trips cannot be stitched together to make 1 big contour map, is this correct do you know? that's a real deal killer for me if it is due to the size of the waters i fish. Otherwise i'll be buying one from you guys :) Also, i'm one of the few people on the planet who doesn't use a mobile phone, but i do have a tablet. Can i map lakes with that and then upload the data when i get home via the internet? Thanks for all who can answer these questions.

I use mine on an ipad and a mobile phone - basically android or ios with wifi/bluetooth (depends on model). I use the onshore mapping and each time you visit the scans are overlaid on the same map at the same time and you can select each one individually. So, not exactly stitched, but overlaid, but still v useful. If the scans are in the same session they are stitched together. Hope this helps.

Hi Streng, the Deeper pro plus is £229.99.

Length of arc (04:50) has nothing to do with size of fish. Its the width (vertically) of the arc that relates to the size of the fish. If Deeper is stationary will get an arc if fish swims through the sonar cone or if Deeper is pulled past a stationary fish..

my husbands has issues with his. Casting it about 60 yards it just loses connection so much for a range of 100 yards. Worse £200 ever spent

Try on Bluetooth and if you're using it by casting connect it to the bottom screw and turn off all data I had issues when first used kept turning itself off the more I used it it is never disconnected since works a dream people just need to play around with it . has a lot of technology in one little ball . I had connected mine into the middle Screwfix and was using Wi-Fi and had nothing but problems then change to Bluetooth and use the bottom screw with no issues hope that helps.

Bait boats etc I think is cheating unless a huge venue/French carping or impossible casts, so quite a purest at heart. Although I think this is a great innovative bit of useful kit and able to give much more and otherwise impossible info from plumbing, imo

Why not to use new technology? It the same thing like washing machine 30 years ago, we could still do laundry in Thames but would you?

I remember people saying that about Alarms. At the end of the day its a very usefull tool as it saves time and thats a massive bonus as I dont get much time on the bank and want to use it wisely.

I use it more as a feature finder than a fish finder. Still needs your skill as an angler to get the right bait there in a good presentation etc etc. Great for gadget freaks!

You are fishing a bowl shaped hole in the ground, shallow near the bank, deeper near the middle. That's all you need to know. 👍
