I needed this video 30 years ago. I probably burnt six cans of biscuit as a kid trying to figure out how to cook them in a skillet. Once I got it figured out, it was a game changer as far as camping goes for a 13 year old!

I just got the new 10" Pathfinder skillet. If you have the broiler rack from the 8" skillet I've found that it can be wrapped with foil and placed in the 10" one giving you an oven shelf with plenty of room above for your biscuits to rise and not burn on the bottom. That way you don't have to flip them.

Thanks Blackie! biscuits and gravy is one of my all time favorite breakfast meals, I suppose it would be good for anytime of day. I was doing it the hard way using powdered gravy mix, frying up the sausage separately and baking the biscuits in my Coleman folding oven over the stove. I would only make it when I was on a weeklong car camping trip, because it took so long to make. I will definitely do it your way and be able to enjoy it more often now. I'll have to search for that canned sausage gravy! I don't recall ever seeing that at the store, only the powdered stuff. Appreciate it 👍👍

Is the spacer a Trangia wind shield ? If so what size it the 27 or the 25 ? And what is the black thing around it? Thanks for the video probably works better than the Coleman oven that you would use on the stove. My understanding with the Coleman oven you need to use a small pizza stone on the bottom inside the oven to also reduce the heat to stop from burning the biscuits.

Hey Blackie, I was wondering, since that Biscuit and gravy is kinda hard on my stomach, and somertimes even rougher on my colon, can you recommend a particular brand of toilet paper or maybe the best ply count? I've found 2 ply or even single ply works better than the thicker stuff at getting the job done when that gravy kicks in a running. Also, being new to your channel and trying to catch up on watching and learnin from your videos, is that a sheet metal tent you use and how many will it sleep? Us Louisiana boys is always the last to get the good stuff or even hear about it. Keep em coming Blackie!

Total prep time for cream gravy aprox 20 minutes so by the time the coffee is done you have your gravy and biscuits in less than an hour
