SIMPLE BAIT | GREAT FISHING | Catch Clean and Cook

I use one of the most effective and simple bait and get rewarded with great fishing. Walking the sandflats fishing is a great outing the whole family can enjoy. I hope you enjoy the scenery, fishing and cook up! #greatfishing #beachfishing #fishingaustralia #catchingfish #catchandcook

Fantastic! I think that's the very spot where, at 10 years of age, I got in the way of one of Dad's casts and I ended up with the hook, barb and all, through my thigh. (Still have the scar to this day.) All good, it was ripped out and I continued on fishing and carried a rod, yabbie pump and esky 3klms back through neck deep water. Can't recall a ruler ever being taken back in the day. 😉

Loved hearing you reminisce of where your love of the outdoors started. Has it changed much over the years? I can remember taking my lads whiting fishing and the excitement when they got a bite. Every kid should get a $10 Kmart fishing kit and be taken for a day of fun. (might even be better than Xbox) Just had to catch a crab, no pot required. I bet you were keeping an eye out as you walked through that water. I have to say the old wet hessian bag cooler was my favourite thing, my old man always had hessian bags when we went fishing.
