She is so good at making sense of Ochem labs! Thanks Angela
U have lovely handwriting!
That was as clear as an alcohol after fractional distillation;p Great video and you have such a nice voice

@Kristian Duke you are welcome xD
Tremendously helpful! Thank you.
great vid studying for MCAT thank you Angela !!
Your voice is adorable. This is the best fractional distillation explanation ever.
I wasn't understanding anyyy thing but u changed it all i am really happyyy ❤
Thank you. This helped me so much!
Damn, that condenser is so cool !
Thanks a lot, very useful information.
I love how people are falling in love with you more than the content. But yea you do have a great voice and handwriting.
Thank you! Khanacademy is awesome
THANKU THIS HELPED ME SOSOSOSO MUCH ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!
Love it!
Thanks you soo much! You just helped me pass my chemistry test😆
extremely helpful..!!
Thank you!
bravo!
Thank you that was a lovely video ....
i realy waznt clear abut da frayion distillation
Can you please make a video on azeotropic mixtures.....
I was super focused and then you said "Im going to fill it with stars jeje" and I lost it out in laugh, that was just too cute
Please do a video on steam distillation.
Thank god for this, my lab professor doesn't explain anything
thnx for this gr8 video
thanks❤
Pure as C2H5OH. Great explanation!

what, where does she say that?

so it's only 96% good?
is a short path distillation head and set-up just as good as a traditional set up with a fractioning column and if so what's the difference.
Nice video
Now I understand
actually helpful what the heck
Great

Can we do fractional distillation also for the ones who have difference of more than 25K in the boiling points?
@Jasmine-mb9jv
11 ай бұрын
it would just take a lot longer bc the mixture would vaporize and condense multiple times before there is enough condensation to elute.
damn...
fucken awesome video!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
why not just keep the toluene in the boiling flask...once you boiled out the cooler substance? After all...you see the temperature on the thermometer,,,and you know the phase change temps!
Since we're cooling the gas in the second phase change in the condenser, why does the temp rise?

because it is an exothermic process
you are simply great! studying for MCAT

Why is fractional distillation better than simple distillation if you want to collect a more concentrated sample?
@Jasmine-mb9jv
11 ай бұрын
This answer is a little late, but fractional distillation is generally used in instances where the boiling points between the two compounds are similar in range (typically the when the difference is less than 25 C). The fractioning column allows for the vapor to evaporate and condense multiple times along the column as it travels up the column allowing for distillation when bps are too close in range for simple distillation.

@@Jasmine-mb9jv still thank u!
so the only difference is that fractional is purer ..but why do a simple distillation if taking the next step "fractional" is purer? there has to be a difference when using mmj wax/shatter
@ashifkaredath841

fractional takes a really long time. if the boiling points are close fractional is better
WHY IS SAL NOT TEACHING ME THIS! #JUSTICE FOR SAL
Stars really what are you trying to say!?
uh.....thats a purple receiving flask.....just to let you know!
Except oil does evaporate! Oh, maybe mention that there are two types of oil. One being more resistant to evaporation, not evaporation proof.
The diagram😰
Bruh wht is the difference b/w them
