thank you, just watched your video. seems like the bag never got full, so hope I can do what you showed since I do not have anyone to help me. would that be why it "smells" while I am vacuuming? thanks again

It's much more effective to use an air compressor and blow it out from the top where the bag opening is.

If you don't have a back scratcher and then another thing that would work would be a wire hanger you can untwist it and use it to get down deep in the clock

i use my dryer lint brush. it is long and flexible and the brushes grab the crud to pull it out.

Haha thats great. Ive used many different things to unclog a vacuum. The back scratchier seemed to be the best because of the little hooks on the end. But its not that flexible so maybe i will try a dryer lint brush. Thanks for the great idea and thanks for watching.

You're missing the side motor filter, I would replace that. Otherwise you'll get a lot of dirt in the motor and it will start grinding. Also, if you haven't brought it in to an oreck dealer to get it tuned up in the last year... Do that, the seals on that model tend to wear out after 6-18 months and you'll start to loose suction, and have dirt spraying into the inside of the vacuum. The magnesium's had a lot of problems if they weren't rebuilt every year. And with it being discontinued now, I would bring it in and get parts while you still can.

Thanks for the comment. I have had an Oreck dealer give me a tune up last year. I had 2 free tune ups when I bought the vacuum. I love this vacuum and this is my second Oreck.

@@UltimateTechHub ya that model was definitely the best vacuum oreck ever made, it just unfortunately had some durability issues. But, if it's treated nicely it should still last you a very long time

Sounds like a loose wire or connection. My oreck did the same thing after I had it serviced. It ended being a connection that was loose. You may have to take it to a vacuum repair store if you dont feel comfortable taking your vacuum apart. Otherwise google your make and model to find out about the electrical system'. It may help you find the loose connection. Keep me posted.

The roller has a magnetic metal ball in middle. If the belt is loose it will not rotate fast enough and magnetic sensor will cause vacuum to just cut off when running. Other repair videos explain this
