Simple 3 Colour Galaxy Pour! How I Saved This Acrylic Pour Swipe | Acrylic Pouring

This weeks acrylic pour was a bit of a crap shoot, although I had a brilliant pan to begin with! lol Some days that plan just doesn't pan out! I worked with a nice Oxide Black base with some of my favourite Folk Art colour shifting paints as well as a really nice DecoArt Metallic Blue.
This swipe ultimately turned out really nice, but I did need to tilt for a lot longer than I wanted to. I was very light on how much paint I needed, but everything came together in this acrylic pour! This will be the last painting that will have enough time to cure before my next Art Festival I am participating in as well! I can't wait!

Love that color combo! Just sharing this... for help! LeftBrainedArtist has a fantastic paint pour calculator online. You enter the dimensions and the thickness of your paint and it tells you how much you need. Good luck with your show!!!!

I've tried to comment twice now but both have vanished. I suspect because they contained links to a site that has a chart showing how much paint you need for each size of canvas... Thought it might help you out but looks like KZread doesn't like it. Anyway, really like this last offering, great colours together. As I can't send you the links, check out one of my fave artists (Left Brained Artist) for a how much paint do I need chart.

@@tonysfluidart well, it appears to me that my favorite technique is whatever I have just finished watching.! I just finished buying some thing called the Dream Box with a post COVID Grant that I got.

And I am now able to organize all my pants and additives and stencils and all of the stuff of the making of art. I use this in my psychotherapy practice. But since I just moved in this huge thing, I had to re-organize my entire office so I haven’t been able to paint for a while. I have to just satisfy that it’s by watching other people. I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you.
