Simonetta Vespucci | Life and Influence on 15th Century Artist
In this episode, I go over the short life of the 15th century beauty, Simonetta Vespucci. Having been born in Genoa and moving to Florence after her marriage to Marco Vespucci, she caught the eye of many in Florence including that of some of the most famous painters, like Sandro Botticelli, poets, and of Giuliano de Medici who was a part of the famous Medici family.

Very informative! We could do with 'more' of this type of videos! Simonetta had an 'idealized beauty' which very much influenced Dante Rossetti and the 19th century Pre-Raphelite movement in England!

Simonetta Cattaneo was born in Repubblic of Genova but not at Genova, she was born at Fezzano, close Portovenere in Gulf of La Spezia .
Nice work! How about making video about Lucrezia Buti? She was muse (and than also wife) of Botticelli's master - Fra Filippo Lippi.
