I watch her and she’s always happy for her teammates and other gymnasts, a lot of others aren’t happy for her: envy, jealousy and other things we already know. Simone never says anything negative about others and that’s why she’s been so blessed. There are always those who will try to discredit or insult her but she remains the G.O.A.T. in gymnastics. ❤

Yes. First off to adjust some people’s perspective of Ms. Biles, and also of themselves, with that question , are you working as hard as you can? And, conversely, you can achieve your goals. (Personally, I’m definitely not working as hard as I can, and I’m fine never being the GOAT at anything at all.)

I hope athletes DON'T get "offended" when people keep reiterating how GIFTED they are!! Inherited athletic gifts are something to be proud of!! It goes without saying that a strong work ethic and high ambition is needed, alongside natural talent, to achieve outstanding success!! I truly hope successful athletes DON'T get offended when people play up their inherited abilities! We all know how HARD they have to work and the sacrifices they may have to make in order to achieve that level of success! It's a SINCERE COMPLIMENT when people publicly acknowledge an athlete's natural GIFTS!

@@Ayybraiebraie I've heard a few NFL players on NPR say they want to be known for their work ethic over "giftedness" because they claimed 'everyone has gifts and the work ethic is what makes the difference.' But not everyone is inherently gifted to the degree that they don't even have to practice at the beginning! A true inherited gift is something you just do extremely well - better than your peers - without having to work at it. It just comes naturally, like creative writing, instrumental music ability (ear for music), singing, physical strength and power, etc., etc..

  • @joyfuljaj

    @joyfuljaj

And if they didn't work to fine-tune that gift then we wouldn't notice it. Therefore it is a compliment. I've known gifted athletes and gifted dancers who could have gone so much further than they did but they either didn't like working on it or just had other passions so didn't put the time into their gift to excel.

  • @elisabeth4342

@@joyfuljaj Exactly. I know firsthand how unfair it seems to inherit gifts that you're not passionate about. It sucks. People tend to think if you're great at something it automatically means you're passionate about it... NOT always the case! You either don't care at all or you feel like you let yourself down because you just couldn't muster up the passion to pursue your proven strengths!!

Could she keep up with sprinters in the Olympics? Also, they make cameras so tiny now, I wish you guys would start wearing them when performing these superhuman feats of athleticism. I would love to see what you guys are seeing in mid-air.

First, I guess I start with youtube Where would we be as a global family if the world did not have youtube to see amazing videos. So much talent out there, in music, science, the arts, sports, philosophy, you name it. Your analysis from a gymnast perspective is spot on and I love the way how you break down, in this case Simone's jump Seriously how does she double flip like that! I'm from Houston, and of course her name is all over the place over here and rightly so. I for one take her achievements for granted in a way. I hear or watch her winning and thing yeah that's great! Home town girl! However, to see a breakdown as you show just how truly remarkable her performances leaves me speechless and in awe, So thank you for taking the time to showcase her talents. And your commentary at the end was very insightful in that all who see this, need to know it takes so much to become so good. You got a good thing going here with your channel. Great service you're offering. Thank you once again.

simone biles has the talent but her dedication and perseverance have brought her there. the trouble is that she makes it look so easy bc of her training while these are top level very difficult aerial maneuvers. definitely not beginner's stuff.

That is my favorite pass too. I used to do front full step through to full in. I did back 2.5 tw ist step out. I Love the complex passes. I did back 1.5 twist step through to handspring randi. Your timing has to be perfect to step to front handspring. I could watch Simone all day. I’m glad she’s back. I absolutely love her style. I want her to try a yerchenko double stretched.

FANTASTIC - you should consider studying human biomechanics. (Maybe you are?). The one additional component on this particular pass would be to include having to manage the corner to corner distance of the floor to ensure she maintains her momentum, and doesn’t step OOB.

With all the mechanics you just illustrated a gymnast must be cognizant of, how can anyone complain that she took herself out of the Tokyo Olympics women’s events because of the twisties? She was painted as selfish, blah, blah.. Well, do we really think she would have been helpful to her team to win with that problem? If nothing else, it opened the door for her teammates to shine. Thank you for bringing up the fact that some of us may be not be looking at Simone’s skills properly or the fact that so many things must align to pull off those skills.

The front full she twisted to the right. Backwards she left. She also does her round off righty

Look closely. You were right she is pulling her right arm to start a twist but she pulls it to the left. That’s how you twist to the left. Also imagine her twist but without flip. If she faces the same direction like on video and twist without a flip to the left we will first see her belly then as she keeps twisting we will see her back. It’s also a big problem to twist different directions for front and back, I doubt her coaches would have overlooked such a big flaw.

@user-cg7ni1wh6c I’ll have to check but (in my and others common definition) is twisting to the right. I jusy watched her floor in slow motion. She does everything as a righty except twisting backwards. Her double lay full out was left. Her double double was left.

Thank you for this video. I've never seen any professional perspective of a breakdown of her amazing performances. You hit the nail on the head when you said that people sometimes forget that she is human. Yes, I never do but on so many of her videos they refer to her a GOAT, that they is soooooooo disrespectful. She is not an animal. There are so many other titled labels that can be created why are we love/hating her by referring to her as an animal? And A goat at that? Goats are sacrificed. And Remember the tail of leading the woman in the forest to be left there then sacrificed? We've heard those fairy tales scenarios. The disrespect is not by accident.

@@Ayybraiebraie You say it's not that deep? It's so deep that you don't get it. I'm looking beyond what they pretend what goat means. It Actually doesn't mean "Greatest of All Time." What you fail to be aware of is that It took the 'trending 'warlock crew' meetings and brainstorming and deliberate effort to coincidentally tag these talented gifted athletes with the sacrificial signature. So these Covens are marveling at their own twisted 'genius' by entering the 'death spell' on to them. The method is to First dehumanize them then sacrifice them. Notice they love to do this to People of color athletes more than any others. They wish them all dead but not before harvesting their energy. You need to expand your comprehension to see the truth.

i gently disagree. inborn talent is more important than 25%. sure, Simone works her butt off, as did Tiger Woods or Roger Federer or Tom Brady. but so did thousands of other atheletes. the difference is natural, inborn talent. sure, they're the same species as us, they're human, but they were born with greater potential than the rest of us. the romantic notion that if you want it badly enough and work hard enough, you can get to the top, is wrong. if you want it bad enough and work hard enough, you can maximize your potential. that's it. and your potential is determined mostly at birth, with minor contributions from opportunity, luck, etc.

  • @Ayybraiebraie

I think we agree more than you think. You just reiterated my point. You just listed numerous factors outside of your potential or talent. Yes, you have to have talent and potential but if you don’t have the hard work, the support financially, or mentally or emotionally with outside sources, and numerous other things, you can’t just rely on your talent And vice versa. It’s a multitude of things put together.
