They did the Conrad announcement with the “4 more years” chant too because like every single political candidate gets that chant - No one reacted this way. This is just because Westside COMMITTED to the joke and made a good production - people just want to dump on things that have the spotlight. My vote: well done Westside!

I think context is important as well. Dynamic Discs (a part of Trilogy and their team members are featured in the video) has the theme for all of their discs being legal terms: Truth, Warden, Enforcer, Felon, Judge, etc. Definitely political notions, but that is THEIR branding.

And it's super problematic. Imagine a company releasing two discs in fall 2020 - the Vigilante and the Thug. The Vigilante: neutral 15-speed distance driver, Supreme plastic only, and only in white for some reason. The Thug: overstable putt & approach, base plastic only, black only. Distasteful.

The Matty O commercial lays it on pretty thick with the political references. With the current hostage situation, its weird that they choose to reveal the player that way. They could have done literally anything else. Although Dynamic Discs does have the Criminal, Felon, etc. discs haha. Definitely get "Choose freedom not fear" or "American flag with blue stripe vibes" from their whole operation. I do love me some Matty O, so very happy he is getting paid!!

Brodie, I love the Pod cast...you guys are killing it. I want to say a word on the Matty-O's 4 year deal, which I am extremely happy for him. I strongly believe the video did him no favors. In this day and age with everyone so polarized in one of two directions its best to stay clear of even the perception of being political. "4 more years", it doesn't take rocket science to take that the wrong way, with a big election coming up. The court room with a hood over his head, with a crazy judge...at a time where we have a former President being attacked in 4-5 different cases, many would say unjustly. I work in Contacts for the DoD. I'm not allowed to do anything that would even give a hint of bias or give a perception of Bias in who gets awarded a Contract. I believe the same thing goes in this case. It wasn't a good idea to touch or even give a perception of being Bias one way or another. Because it can't help, only damage, his Brand...Very Bad Idea. Just my two cents. - Rick

The hiring practices and business structure are wild but everyone I sold to 20 years ago still uses and loves their product. Not sure lone star will pass the test of time *edit to add. The “starter set” you buy in order to do work appointments comes in around 70% off I believe. The criticism of “you have to pay to get the job” is totally valid- but the discount is pretty large and the products are good quality

100% local C tiers drag on too long. I'm an older dude who can play rounds daily, but to leave 7 am and get back at 6 pm. This is too much. I stick to the local events or I'm loving the Flex starts one round events on given week nights.

Loved hearing Simon stand up to you guys with his opinions lol. Why are you guys so against having multiple statistics and ranking systems?

I'm at 19 minutes in and that's really telling. I follow disc golfers to watch the drama of them competing. But it looks like the disc manufacturers treat y'all like Hasbro treats their Transformer toys. Like, buy this merch! Buy Simon's merch! Buy Brodie's! Buy Paul's! What a boon Simon has been for MVP.

What Uli was talking about with Nike. He could get multiplayers to go with and collaborate with a 100% and create a line of clothing on their own to make it worth it. It really only takes a few to make an impactful investments and creativity to take it forward monetarily.

After filming Simon performing about 40x 360s at 240fps back in 2015, I can say the world's best 360 thrower is now FJ08 World Champion, and U8 World Distance Record Holder Sarah Wadsworth, of New Zealand. Sarah now has by far the best 360 form of any player ever. She rotates her body faster than any player ever has, and I would rather watch her throw backhand than any other player in the world. Bar none. Here's Sarah breaking the world record before she turned 8. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioeCybOHiZXVlLQ.html She's much stronger and faster today.

This is the problem with ratings in lower tournaments. If there is a 1000 rated player and 2 960's in the tournament, then a bunch of 920's the top three people could easily throw tournaments that are 1030+ and they'll almost never be rated over 1010 even if they dominate the field

No this happens all the time. Our local league and local c tiers have 1000 rated guys shoot 1030, 1040 ect…. Sure they also have off days and can rate 970 too. These guys consistently beat 980 players by a few strokes and consistently beat 960 guys by 5/6+ strokes.

In all your examples playing with the "ma3-guys" inflates a good player's rating but you're also saying that playing c-tiers drops a good player's rating. Does this have to do with the courses not rating correctly or could you explain the inconsistency?
