Sustained long- term growth has phases and priorities. When Ange’s trophy cabinet starts looking bare maybe you can comment. He’s ahead of Leggo head in his first year mate. It’s both answers. I get what Ange is saying by that he is basically saying that it is not simply set pieces that is the reason for their form and there is a bigger picture to look at. At the same time it’s glaringly evident in the last 2 games specifically that they have employed a zonal marking system which is creating mismatches in size and leaving spare men at the back stick and it is not working. So on the one hand it’s a bigger picture and that’s the long term but on the other hand if he acknowledges the set piece problem that is something he can sort short term

That Spud "keeper" is the worst I've seen in the English top flight for decades mate. He's a vampire keeper, allergic to crosses and scared of contact in the 6 yard box. Around half of all goals are scored from balls coming across the 6 yard box one way or another so employing a goal keeper that can't deal with crosses is about as sensible as hiring Adam Johnson as a student councillor at a girls school.

Martin is 100% right. Simon has put ange on a pedestal after half a season of football, and looks as if hes trying everything to not look foolish. If any other team had that start Simon would claim, they are having a moment in the sun, but when spurs did it he was basically saying, Ange was the best manager in the league apart from pep and klopp. The man is a absolute knob end, and thinks nobody else's opinion matters, and dont even get me started on his boxing knowledge, or I'll be here all day long.

Both are system based coaches that initially 'transformed' the way their clubs played - getting good results, being a breath of fresh air while walking into dysfunctional clubs. Like EtH, Ange's side is ambling towards the end of season having been found out by opponents.

As a Spurs fan I do not see the way forward if Postecoglou doesn’t recognise that coaching is all about evolving to deal with problems. I do not have confidence that that is happening. I do accept that if you look at league placing only then none of us would have predicted a top 5 finish, but the reality of our recent form is that we are not much better than mid table. Personally, I sense that the players are not fully behind him (which is appalling) but too many players are off form. Son has been terrific for us over the years, but he is not a natural leader.
