He's ALWAYS given Steve Parish respect for keeping Palace on the top flight a lot longer than he, Ron Noades etc could. He's said that Everton are bigger than Palace and it would be better to invest in Everton. Talk sense, Mate

In theory, yes, but buying Crystal Palace would have its attractions as well from a business point of view Land in London can fetch pritty penny. But from a purley football point of view Everton is the outstanding option it has a lot going for it. I'm looking forward as a football club something you could not have sead for Everton in much of my life time I was born in 81. I would buy Liverpool F.C personally & turn it in to a feeder club for Everton, that would spice things up a bit on Merseyside, lol.

As an Everton fan , I think there is bias and Everton is a much bigger club than palace , however I think Crystal Palace is attractive , they have a good talent ID, new stadium developments, good youth system , I truly believe textor just wants full control of a club hence why Everton is a good fit.

Palace fan here and I think that's right. Textor has said that it makes more sense for him to own controlling interests in the clubs in his multi-club model. It suits what he's creating with his Eagle Football holding company, which he's aiming to take public. Remains to be seen how he'd operate it with Everton in the mix but I think it would be a *lot* better for fans than the disaster that is 777. Good luck with it. I'm very grateful to Textor and I can see the business reasons for why he's moving on. Football is a business, after all.

that's correct Parish and Textor have a fundamental difference over multi club ownership..Textor wants to vertically integrate everything. Parish is a Palace fan so he's adamantly against that. Textor only has 1/4 of the control at Palace and the other three don't want to sell to him🤷. He's quite emotional and bull headed though. Expect lots of lows and highs with his decision making. Out of all the clubs in EFH. Palace is the only 'stable one'. The one he doesn't directly run. He needs someone to act as a handbrake on him.

I love how when Chelsea had their sanctions, no one was delicate in their assessment of the situation. They made sure to always bring up Roman and his "dirty money". But with Everton, a club that was clearly receiving alot of money from another Russian Billionaire in Alisher Usmanov, its always a case of saying that Moshiri is the guy with the money "not sure where that money came from or from who did it come from". Even if Moshiri does write off a significant amount of what he has put in the new owners will still need to finish paying for the stadium, fund the club in the short term and clear the debt. They are £500m in debt, haven't got the funding to finish the stadium and are losing tens of millions per month. On top of that Moshiri is owed £750m and will want as much cash back as possible. Your talking about £1 billion to pay off the debt, finish the stadium and to lend the club enough money to stay solvent until the new stadium is ready/they cut the wage bill.

Palace is much more of a football area than Liverpool. Liverpool isnt a football city. The locals hated the game and both clubs were founded by outsiders. It was only with success that the locals started going to games. The city had no youth football up to the 80s/90s. Look at how many scousers had to leave the city to play youth football. South London people were always football crazy.

What a load of rubbish that is! Liverpool is and always has been footballing City! Everton are a founding member of the football league. No London or Southern Club was. Goodison Park built in Liverpool was the 1st purpose built football stadium in the world. Some of the Countries best talent have come out of Liverpool. The football goal net was invented by a scouser called John Brodie. The most succesful Club in Engalnd is from Liverpool, but keep telling yourself Liverpool isn't a footballing City if it makes you feel better

@@johncarter9658 Everton were founded by outsiders who moved to the city. They had to bring in outsiders to play for the team. The local men wers unfit opium addicts. In the 1960s the Tory run council urged parents to start organising soccer clubs to keep kids out of trouble. Pitches and facilities were built but rarely used. Parents had no interest in football and went drinking instead.
