@@patriciabarnes7034 I grew up in the sixties, so I've listened to them all my life. I can't get over how beautiful their harmonies were, but the big thing that always gets me is Paul's guitar playing. How does he do that? It's like the highest possible level of folk guitar playing. He makes it look easy, but OMG that is top flight guitar playing.

There is an intensity to Garfunkel's voice that makes it much more than just pretty. Simon is simply a brilliant guitarist. He can carry the entire concert with that one instrument like an orchestra.

Exactly, it's a special tension, as if he's declaiming a fundamental truth to people, a prayer or a poem, something we needed and were searching for, but were not aware till we heard it. Something crafted by the unique and poignant writing, and playing of Simon, and created by the perfect, misterious simbiosys of their two voices, of their souls... They are quite unique in music.

five minutes into this and I am already astonished. These guys are not much more than kids writing and performing great poetry that helps define an era, and transcends that same era, as literature tends to do, which they put to notes on the musical scale. And then they sang that creation with a purity and simplicity that expresses it all.

I always thought how still Art looks during his preformances. He gets totally lost in his singing... Total concentration and never, nor seldom taps his feet or shake his tail feather, so to speak. He looks like the shy intervert, yet, I think Paul is shy too but, there's something behind Paul's eyes, and a look on his face that is as deep and complex as an ocean. Love all the songs these two did together... Still do and still listening to them today Their voices were made to go together. March 2021.

Hands down, one of the best duos to ever hit the music scene, Paul's creativity drawing from rhythms and melodies worldwide, and Art's stunning vocals second to none. Even after splitting up, they continued to move and exhilarate us with their individual talents, and I personally consider Art's solo efforts to rank his best, and among the finest offerings of that genre. I dare anyone to sit through his "Breakaway" album without getting misty eyed.

Paul Simon recently posted "The Boxer" performed in his home. The old man, almost 80, still has it.

Wow! I just stumbled over this piece of old film on here. I remember listening to these songs on the radio way back then and loved the special sound I heard. Their music has accompanied me throughout my life and has given me great pleasure and peace along the way. This film has a purity to it that I have never seen before. The biggest surprise was seeing Paul's brother playing along. I didn't even know he existed. Fantastic to watch this and I will watch this over again and again. Wonderful!

Amazing....simply amazing!!! Totally captivating and no need for any ridiculous stage setting which now have to be compulsory for concert shows in order to over compensate and distract the audience from the lack of song quality and talent that they are observing. This is just two young men with real song writing and singing talent!!! Thank you for posting!!
