he atleast says what he thinks, even apologises when he realises he was wrong, still i think, he finds that spark that makes the difference between the contestants =)

Simon Cowell changed the way judging is done in the entertainment industry. He made people see what is supposed to be seen, and he made people realize that it is ok not to see what is really not there. This brings me to think of The Emperor's New Clothes.

Simon is really a human that i admire most for saying the right thing , also he never hesitate saying I was wrong 👍🏾

I still remember when he did American Idol in 2002 and the USA was not ready for this man. I sometimes wondered and though he was too cruel but look at his track record. His Stars have been some of the most successful. Even Diddy didn't achieve that with his Group Da Band. He showed it's not what you know but "who" you know. He followed Pete Waterman around like a "Punk" and look where he is now. He's like the Victor Newman of Music. Always keeping his eye on the Ball. Can you imagine if those two talked about how they built their fortunes their setbacks but what they achieved. I still remember the first group of kids who were let go on American Idol and they were crushed. Some looked as they wanted to cry but he saw them, they weren't good enough and not one came back to prove Simon wrong. It hasn't been as good since he left. Also if he did Jeopardy, he would have ripped every contestant to shreds.

I remembered when he gave US TV Icon Dick Clark a Lifetime Achievement Award a couple of years ago and he got booed. He didn't care. Some people in the US think of him as cruel but look at his Track Record. So many proteges have done well for themselves. Kelly Clarkson whose protege won on The Voice, Carrie Underwood, and non Winner Jennifer Hudson who won a Grammy and an Oscar for Dreamgirls who sang at The Kennedy Center Honors to salute Al Green one year before President Barack Obama finished his term as President. Isn't it eerie to know that Simon Cowell is "bigger" in his own way than Pete Waterman. If you asked any US Person who Pete Waterman is, they wouldn't know but with Simon Cowell, it's "Oh Yeah!" and to think Simon got his start working under Pete.

Oh absolutely! Both of them, have done so much for The UK Pop Music Scene. He showed that if you really want something badly enough and you put your heart and mind to it, you can make it. He had his share of setbacks, but he picks himself up and tries again.

phenry53 if they don't have a hit record a top 3 or top 1 in that year they are gone like any lable does now. They get a record deal for 1 year if they don't make it big in that first year or sell 1 million or more records they are dumped that's life Simon has nothing to do with their contract to the lable. If he does it's that 1 year like all the show that are like this even American Idol is that way too.

Simon many times need to be sincere. He needs to evaluate technically and not emotionally. He is misunderstood many times but he is sincere. His comments in terms of music are right in the spot. If was your money that you need to invest in one of the contestants you would probably have a different opinion.
