Who is the other idol with a talk show? This is a nice surprise to see JHUD get her own talkshow. I adore her. She is very soft spoken though, which is a opposite of her singing voice.

For Simon to want to use this to work towards no longer being seriously blunt, think before he speaks, no when to hold silence, and watch tone of your voice. Judging singers does not mean you hace to speak harsh, there is a polite way to express not liking singing and just because that is how the world operates, does not make it right.

That is so true. Beyoncé once talked about not winning competitions - but look at her now. So many have lost competitions and came out greater. God knew that Jennifer did not need American Idol to be great.

I agree I watched the show where she was eliminated and to be fair she was not ready. Fantasia was. But for the rejection she may not have achieved the success she has. So hey Simon at the time was right in my view.

I remember the night before elimination, we had a huge storm through Chicago and mid-Illinois. All the power went out and a lot of people could not watch American Idol, let alone vote. When Jennifer was voted off, I felt it was unfair, because her hometown and home state could not vote to support her. But here she is...killing it!!! YEAH!

Simon has always had a great PR agent. He is still the best and most memorable judge from any singing show ever.

I love how she never gave up, and her shock elimination was probably fuel for her to keep going, and some ways got her the attention that she deserved for how talented she was!

She’s had so much success even outside of music with broadway ( acting and singing), film, being a judge on The Voice (UK?), and now her talk show.

Yeah, Simon's comments were a factor; but, in the end, IMO, it was Jennifer's fault that she got voted off---and, the reason being because she back-talked Simon, and I noticed that the minute anybody sassed him, they were gone!! Nobody was gonna let anybody diss (in their mind) him!!

I think that Simon is pure in heart. His words generate you to do better, I think he uses reverse psychology that sometimes brings out the best in people. He looks like a person who does good and does not advertise himself.

I love Jennifer. Extremely talented, famous, gracious and unaffected.

Simon is a music producer. He has the power and influence to make peoples careers. On a personal level, he was honest and yes blunt with his critique. Ironically, he's become very diplomatic over the last few years. But in an industry where people smile at you face to face then stab you in the back, he said what he really thought. You might not like his criticism, but you trusted it.

Simon has a good ear and has discovered many successful acts, particularly in the UK. He does play music, albeit casually. He plays piano. He’s the one who basically makes careers out of the three judges. The other three were just former musicians. And also he was the hardest to please so of course you’re gonna work your hardest to please the hardest ones to please.

If I remember correctly, the night JHud was eliminated on Idol, Simon was actually very nice to her and said she was creating "the battle of the divas". He was starting to support her when she unfortunately left, but as she said, the only thing over was that competition. Her talent has kept on going and she's amazing.

She's one of these rare ladies that just get prettier over time. What a compliment: he says she has grace. She sure does have grace, amen.

Circle Of Life was absolutely incredible, I will never forget that performance, it was truly like the song was written for Jennifer, The Lion King was one of my all time favorite Disney movies that I loved watching over and over with my children, and Jennifer gracefully took ownership of that song that night, I believe Sir Elton John was extremely proud of her. She is probably the most all around successful person from American Idol, I am really happy for her ❤, I know that she has been through a lot, but it looks like all of it has made her stronger and more determined.
