after that clown said it wasnt about the music or the clothes. i turned it off. he is completely off base. Its not back.. These people are just playing dress up like halloween, and do not have any ties to the music because they did not grow up with it at the same time affecting their lives and mirroring the social climate. they are just picking up a fad, a trend, and exploiting it.

Some of us have been at it since dot. Always the style. Rude boy. It was ALWAYS about the music for me, music, clothes, swagger just came natural to some of us.

Is it just me or has the world gone soft. These catalogue models ain't rude boy. Black and white rude boys / mods came from rough streets violence and fighting the law. While looking sharp.

I remember the black Rudeboys in the early eighties and yes they wore suits sometimes, but most of the time they looked very street, Harrington jackets, Fred Perry, hitched up Sta Prest and loads of badges on the jacket. They looked a lot like the Skinheads minus the boots.

They ain't gonna have much of a new rude boy movement without new music to go with it.
