Hi! 👋
This is great! Thanks! I've been teaching figurative language, and was searching up this very topic! I began realizing that some phrases seemed to be both metaphors and idioms. Were they idiomatic metaphors, or metaphoric idioms? This helped!
What about personification? Could all these be grouped together as something ?
Good explanation! Thanks!
It really help me out. Thanks a lot.
“Birds of a feather flock together “ equivalent of "Tell me who is your friend I'll tell you who you are". I enjoyed the video. I always learn things from your videos. thank you!

Would "It's hot enough to fry and egg on the sidewalk," be considered a hyperbole as well as an expression?
" There's no such thing as a free lunch"... and that's why we say "all free thing is not sweet"
Thanks so much. It really hells. Could you please educate me about 'parables' and how they differ from what you have covered in this great video?

A parable is like a metaphor or analogy but written as a story.
"uhhh kinky" lul
What about “cool as a cucumber”

It can't be a simile or a metaphor and it isn't an idiom or a proverb so I guess I would classify that as a simple expression.

It is a simile! Similes are marked by words like as, like.
