I love this video. I have always tried to categorize my perfumes and group similars so this is right up my alley. For me it’s not about finding cheaper subs though. It’s more about avoiding duplication in my collection. For example bright crystal and Stella are very similar to me. I don’t need both. I do like testing side by side to really detect the differences, then choose the one that I want to keep in my collection.

I would love to see your take on the companies selling their brand of designer perfumes. Like Dossier selling "Floral Honey" their version of Jo Malone Nectarine & Honey blossom. And ALT fragrances selling their own version of Gypsy Water..comparing their products to the real deals..are they real budget friendly dupes?

I have 3 of the Dossier fragrances. I have the real Happy and the Dossier Happy. The real one is of course a little more smooth. I was reading about companies that use animal testing so a lot if the companies who make the OG fragrances do. With Dossier there is no animal testing. Which is important for me. I signed up for the emails and text notifications are there are often sales like 4 for under 94.00. I have not tried ALT yet. I did get a discovery set from Be Layered. $60.00 on average though for a full size. Dua is supposed to be really good, they have a lot of Guerlain Niche dupes. I have also heard good things about Jenny Glow, a clone house.

@@michelleclark8099 I am a heavy sprayer. I literally do like 10 sprays on each arm and like 10 on the neck/ chest area.When I do that it is like 8 hrs. The concentration of fragrance oil is 18%. If you do a normal few sprays I would say 4- 6 hours. Make sure to moisturize with an unscented lotion and it will last longer.

@@lisac.3282 Sarah Mayes recently did a review of the dua fragrances. She says that many of their fragrances have to macerate / cure for a few months after purchase before they are just right. Dua makes a lot of discontinued niche fragrances like Guerlain's Iris Granache. They have 30% off sales during the holidays throughout the year.

YES finally the video I've needed, but no one seems to make them... you and I have very similar tastes in scent profiles preferences, and I'm thrilled to see this video, please continue to make vids along these lines, I'd love to know about similar gourmands/ ambers/ clean/ etc...

Great video!! This was a fun topic! I also love pear so I love my Jimmy Choo EDP and Irresistible EDP! The pear scent is so fresh! It makes me happy!! I kind of disagree w Libre EDP and Mon Guerlain. Even though they have similar notes, I love Libre but I hate mon Guerlain. Thank God it doesn't last long because I wanted to take a shower after spraying it to get it off me. I returned it. Oddly enough though, I love mon Guerlain intense!! It's so beautiful and comforting in the winter. I spray it on my cashmere scarf.

Miss Dior blooming bouquet and Zara Nude Bouquet are spot on dupes. 😊💕

Great video, i love bright crystal, its fresh, fun... and i adore blooming bouquet, its for me so perfect perfume, easy going and feminine but i just wish it lasts longer

Thank you, this is a great video with some very useful information! The only thing I'd like to point out is that Prada Candy and Bon Bon, while both being warm and cozy scents, are nothing alike. When I first tried Bon Bon, it immediately reminded me of Amber Romance from Victoria's Secret. It smelled almost identical to it. I'd recommend Amber Romance for those who love Bon Bon but are looking for a cheaper alternative. If the Amber Romance products are layered (i.e., lotion with body spray), the scent will last all day.

I have 3/4 of the perfumes you are talking about and I totally agree with the comparaisons you make ! Thanks

Daisy Intense is on my wishlist. I love Irresistible, it was my sotd yesterday. Kate Spade is a fun scent as well. Ooh, Bon Bon is a favorite of mine, as is Fever.

Hello! If you like the Escada EDT (8:10 on the video) I would recommend to try Fleur Musc by Narciso Rodriguez for her. The rose note is very similar but with a little more of a woodsy note and long lasting. Definitely recommend giving it a try☺️.

Smells cheap

I actually recently discovered Givenchy Irresistible and it’s a total dupe for Delina!! In the opening theyre 90% identical then the pear comes through in Irresistible and it evolves to a creamy almost coconutty base while Delina stays pretty linear.

Givenchy Irresistible is so underrated ! Some you tube channels started talking about this series only now but out since 2012 !

I always think Escada for a lovely Summer fragrance and definitely the Issey Miyake rose is a good choice! 👍

I just found out that Very Good Girl is newly available in the US at Macy's. This is definitely an accurate video! Several of the examples you give I have the same opinion of in terms of yeah, I like those both (and honestly some that both I don't like).

@@maryjanefominyen7070 no I don’t think so. I can tell there is a lavender note in both but the perfumes are totally different in my opinion. Two of my absolute favorites ever! Worth having or at least trying both.

To me, Penhaligons Empressa smells very similar to me, it smells like soap and glory on my skin upon first spray, I’m not mad about it. It’s quite inoffensive and pleasant. I wear it when I want to feel ultra feminine. I just prefer endymion and quercus.

I'm so happy Mon Paris is similar to Absolutely blooming! Kind of thought they might be but glad to have it confirmed! I smelled AB on a coworker and loved it but didn't want to smell like someone else in my office (or steal her thunder haha)! Thanks, Soki! A dupe for Versace bright Crystal is Banana Republic Peony and Peppercorn- a bit harsher at the beginning, but lasts longer and in the end actually smells somewhat nicer a couple of hours in. Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet is the nicest of the three, but doesn’t last.

I think the roller pearl in roses n roses is fairly strong!

I have completely fallen in love with Armani My way Intense and I would love to know more perfumes in the same family. I have yet to try the OG My Way.

When I smelled LIBRE first I instantly thought of D&G The One . To me also Jommy Choo Illicit is a lighter version of Dior Addict, I've heard people comparing it to MK Wonderlust and the latter is compared to Glossier You (just a lighter version )to it as well. Coco Mademoiselle is usually compared to ZEN by Sheseido. GREAT VIDEO! For a fresh young rose scent a bit Dior style I always recommend Paul Smith Rose - it is also compared to MFK recent rose scent !very affordable and very good for lasting :) Delina is apparently a lighter version of Atomic Rose by INITIO! For affordable option Angel Nova or Very good girl are often recommended :)

I looooove Armani Si, but I've been doubting about buying La Vie Est Belle, not sure if I'd like it. And now I know I'll probably like it, so thank you! 🤗 Btw, where do you get all those minis? Would be the ideal way for trying out perfumes and then buying the bigger bottle of the one you like 🤔

Something about the vanilla notes in Si reminds me of those in D&G The One. To me, La Vie Est Belle smells more earthy or gourmand. Almost dusty

I would love your opinion on what fragrance is most like Guess 1981 Indigo. I absolutely adore this fragrance but it literally disappears within minutes of applying it. I love Very Good Girl, and it’s now available on some department store websites in the US.

Love your suggestions bought last 4 perfumes blind on your recomandations and love them. (I am also a pear scent lover). Have you considered a video on the Zadig&Voltaire - Girls Can.... range? I love La vie Est Belle, and I do love Armani Si , but returned it because Armani Si didn't even last on my skin an hour :-( La Vie Est Belle I can smell on my skin late into the day and even into the next day sometimes

I find Ralph Lauren's Beyond Romance EDP to be comparable to La Vie est Belle. It's also heavy on vanilla but it has a hint of jasmine, which seems to soften the vanilla a bit. I actually prefer it over LVEB. Also, the red shoe Good Girl bottle is now available in the USA at Macys.

@@SokiLondon Hi Sophie! I bought mine in June 2020, so it's been available in USA for at least a year. I always keep my Beyond Romance on a shelf right next to LVEB, because they seem like such close siblings. 😀

I agree with Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet and Versace Bright Crystal. Also agree with Delina and Very Good Girl. I love all 4!

Miss Soki, Mademoiselle Rochas Couture and Good Girl smell very similar. I have both now and the only difference I have detected is that Good Girl smells chocolatey as hours pass by and it may be lasting a bit longer. I don't think it's necessary to buy both.

Love this video. How about perfumes that are similar to Lolita Lempicka, Casmir by Chopard, eau de Rochas by Rochas. These are my favourites and I'd love to find some similar perfumes, each is quite different. They are just lovely.

I once sniffed it and then got a sample of Cacharel I Am... Fabulous (the purple one); I found them very similar in their sweet heaviness.

+1 for The Only One. On first test it’s quite similar, I couldn’t tell them apart much, but when I bought both and smelled them at home I could tell a big difference. The Only One has more juiciness in my opinion, there’s orange in the opening. As it develops it has more of a floral vibe than Black Opium, it has violet and iris which adds some powderiness. It also has orange blossom and coffee like black opium. The base notes are quite similar. I think The Only One is more floral and sweeter, and Black Opium is more spicy and vanilla based. Overall if you love one I think you’ll love the other!

Try Montale Intense Cafe

It amazes me how fragrances can smell so different on different people. I had a client who’s perfume smelled so amazing that I just had to ask her what she was wearing. It was Lancôme La Vie Est Belle. I bought a bottle and on me I didn’t recognize it at all. On me it’s very generic and boring, definitely not a fragrance I’ll ever wear.

That's how it is on me too. Luckily I tried it at Ulta before blind buying it.

If you like Valentino Born In Roma you would probably like Si Fiori. If you like Si Fiori you would probably also like Flowerbomb Nectar. If you like BonBon by Viktor&Rolf you will probably like Love Don’t Be Shy by Kilian. I am not saying that in any way that any of these are dupes for one another, I just think they have similar vibes. ☺️

I have Lancôme Midnight Rose and I like it a lot more than Armani Sí.

Jimmy choo doesn't smell like irresistible, but I see why you put them in the same category. 😊 Rihanna Rogue however is very similar to Jimmy Choo, but sharper and wilder. 😘

I like LVEB but Si is too strong for me. I mean the scent is nice but I get headache, maybe because of patchouli 😅
