This video brought back lots of wonderful memories. Such beautiful islands and beaches. It is definitely a lot busier than I remember it being 10+ years ago, but would still go back to the The Similan Islands

I just got back from Koh Lipe, said to be the most unspoiled Thai island. Great snorkeling, but the water was not as clear as in your video. So maybe I went to the wrong island! Glad you had a nice trip.

Similan is the most beautiful or Lipe beautiful too

Great video man, still haven't been there even after all these years, can you actually stay in accommodation on some of these islands, or is it a day trip only from the mainland

Some yes 😃 you can look on Agoda but some accommodation you can only find locally or on Thai Facebook/Websites. Whenever you’re close just ask around as well :)

Ey :) yes, you can easily book it a day ahead. There are many tourists offices/shops where you can buy tours. Make sure you’re not going when the islands are shut due low season 🙏🤗

Another good video Chai. I liked that we had many stops when we were there 2 months ago. It was gorgeous, but for me dreadfully boring only going to one island. Totally agree there are too many people, but hopefully the government will make changes accordingly to preserve the area if it becomes unsustainable. A sad note was the sheer number of IG people who clearly were not in the moment and appreciating the place they were in, but instead had their totes filled with props and outfit changes and spent the entire time posing.

We told you...😝Similan are amazing and we'll hope you'll discover our fav; Surin islands...Otherwise may be Koh Phra Thong(Golden Buddha island) is still open? Anyway it's always better to choose a early tour (and if it's in yur budget a semi-privé tour).

Thanks, we stayed in Kata a few times. I also recommend staying in Old town for a night of two to check out the Sunday market. Accommodation is easy to find on Agoda. The island closes to recover nature and also the weather. Due to rain and wilder sea the island are less easy accessible. I hope this helped you a bit ☺️

Hello Chai Travel, the Similan islands are national park, and even with a Thai License to fly a drone, you still are not able to get a license for Similan ! Can you please share how you did it ?

I’m sorry. I don’t think you’re allowed to fly in any national parks in Thailand. With or without a license 🙏

Some of the filipino blogger that live here in thailand similan island is whitest sand and clearest water compared to philippines. And their correct because im filipino and been a lot beaches in philippines specially in palawan and similan is way is bluest torquise water and whitest sand
