    I totally agree that both these and their cheaper cousin , the 100p's are difficult to fit in my ears. The included tips don't work for me at all and I had to find others that fit my ears properly. But it's worth the effort because these sound great! I sometimes have to reduce what is sibilance to me, but clean and full sound when it all comes together 😊

    It's like comparing a motorbike to a car. Both will get you from point A to B but have different joys. I like them both, but the wireless Yamaha's won't be a long-term investment, at least not as long term as the EW200 can be. But they've got their own characteristics in sound. I like how the EW200 handles classical and light music, whereas the E7B is great for that, plus more. More than anything, it's a matter of convenience.

    I've found some devices that create a further bottle neck. So even if you're listening to 320kbps, there is a possibility that your internal DAC might only be feeding you an equivalent of 190kbps. Having a good external DAC / Amp will open up that bottle neck and allow 320kbps to flow through without an issue. Plus, should you decide to subscribe to Apple music later, the iFi supports much higher res than 320, so it's future proof that way.

    You don't absolutely need one if your device that's feeding it sounds good enough for you. I've found LG phones to have really good DAC/Amp internal chips so getting dongle dacs for those phones don't make much sense. I've been using an iFi Go Link dongle DAC/Amp which is quite good. It's superior to the internal chips on my phone and computers and does support Hi-Res audio. I'd recommend it if you're considering getting one. Feel free to have a look at my review on it. Essentially, having a good DAC/Amp gets ride of that bottleneck for Hi-Res audio. It's good to have one if you enjoy clarity in your music.

    I haven't tested the Zero 2, so I don't want to give you any wrong information. But by itself, it does set itself apart well from the IEMs that sit in the 2k budget. It's one set of IEMs that didn't feel like you were getting something with diminishing returns. It sounds great and will pleade anyone who prefers details over heavy bass.

    How oppo enco air 3 pro fare against these?

  • @PaulsPOV

    @PaulsPOV

    11 ай бұрын

    Oppo works well for convenience. Clarity, detail is much richer with these. They're built for sound specifically after all. No bells and whistles like the oppo. So the oppo is good for the convenience of it, these are more for if your priority is sound quality/ clarity, especially if you have access to Hi-Res audio.

    @@PaulsPOV you are one of the very few iem reviewers in India I hope you can create more playlists of these hi-fi IEM's in future , iam planning to buy these ew200 since 2 months but in HPZ there is no stock available till last week. Just one final doubt before ordering them will these upset me if I am a little bass lover?

  • @PaulsPOV

    @PaulsPOV

    11 ай бұрын

    These are available on HPZ now. These aren't bloated in the bass. They handle it well, but don't expect bass to be obnoxious like it can be on TWS earphones. I found the bass to be punchy and energetic, BUT this was usually the case only with good recordings. Bad recordings/mixes are boring to listen to with these. If you have access to Hi-Res audio, these are great even in the bass. I'm planning on dedicating a month to audiophile content soon! I'll be reviewing more IEMs and headphones in that month.

    It does have sparkle in the highs. If you're high - frequency sensitive, it may cause fatigue, but it certainly isn't bass enthusiastic. I've always found the KZ ZSN ProX to be a great all-rounder for even heavier genres of music. It'll be fun to listen to for pop. If you have the budget, even the KZ ZS10 Pro should be a good fit for you.

    From all the IEMs I've tested, they usually are lighter in the bass since clarity is more a priority with them. I quite like the EW200 but if you have EM6L budget, adding a slight bump in an EQ tuning should give you the bass response you desire. Simgot does have some nice sounding IEMs for sure. My absolute favourite so far is the EA1000, but again, it's not big in the bass unless you tweak it with an EQ.
