There is no power lines in this
I love the Server disconnected message. It's an amazing experience!
Someone should create a mod to stop that. just kinda make the entire map your playground
Imagine if they released a game after this that took the city you made and let you play it like The Sims 3, in the city you made yourself. Also allowing friends to join your city and play co-op etc also being able to travel between the cities of the region. That would be so amazing.
I had playing SimCity since I was kid (aged 10). And the first game that I played is SimCity 3000. It is quite fantastic at that time and when SimCity 4 came out in 2003, I was fascinated too with the life-like graphic. And now, I'm just this game to be played :D
the tilt-shift efect looks awesome!
why dident they just make it possible to buy more land for your cites :/ Culd have added a whole new element to building and conecting cities to make mega cities!
I have this new sim city
SIM CITY STOP BUILDING AFTER 30 MINUTES OF TINY MAP
Feb 2013. Long as* time to wait. Everything's so exciting! :)
Simcity 2000 looks like it is still the best.
I've seen alot of player videos and I think that the devlopers on this game made far too many mistakes. Mainly in that of primarily focusing on Multiplayer then Single player. And the size of the regions are just far too small for my creative interest. Like just by looking at it I'm having to use far more strategy like I'm fighting a war on small size then actually being creative on how I want to build my city.
these demos look so much better
The small maps are intended to KEEP the graphics from "lagging like crazy."
There needs to be other little things as well. Like turn lanes at intersections. Maybe the movement of the cars more realistic.
Three major downfalls: it requires always-on internet access to play (some of the calculations are done 'in the cloud'), games are saved to the cloud (you can't save locally or even download), and there'll be no terraforming (other than auto-terraforming when you plop a structure).
"Never stop building" untill you're out of space in 15 minutes.
I think the idea of unleashing Godzilla on a city I built alone will make this worth it.
The servers are alright. There are 24 servers now , and most of the connection issues are gone
Then you upgrade the roads , redevelop the industrial area for a high class commercial district. Build a hospital on the polluted land where your sewage plant use to be , plot down LOADS of wellness centers. Plot down a water pumping station next to your sewage plant , and then add a filtration pump for unlimited water. THERE ARE LOADS TO DO!!!! You are just unimaginative and beige
lol yeah thats what I thought so too. Just as long as they do. Cities XL 2012 has way larger maps and a lot more things right off the bat so simcity has a lot of catching up to do.
Still the older Simcity games are worth much more playing.
@Sarah James no I wouldn't count on it. You would probobly be better off with the just the new one because they're simple to catch on to and it will have a totorial
I totally agree with you mate Curvy roads is the only new feature
I'm glad you agree.
Well i just pointed out that the old Simcity is what people want, and that most people hate the new one. It just doesn't feel like the game we all loved anymore.
If you want something like that then get CivCity: Rome. The game is a bit old so the graphics aren't the greatest but I still love it. It's on steam if you want a look.
WHY doesn't this come out for another three months? I'm dying over here. -.-
Hey you have to admit that is pretty amazing
I'm sure they it won't be JUST online. They'll also make a singleplayer option (classic mode, maybe?), although it won't have the features of multiplay for obvious reasons.
No, it's still hell of alot of fun to play. Bigger maps, bigger economical challange. Create your own terrains and regions in Godmode. Even when building your city still being able to change the terrrain. And ultimately creating massive epic cities that you can actually be proud of.
Yes, it will slowly drift over to other cities in your region.
This video came out back in June 2012. I'm assuming they made an update to the game where you no longer need or have power lines.
U get this a lot but I thought their was a bug on my screen from your pf pic XD....Where did u get it? I gotta have it!
From a not finished game it looks good
will it be on like ps3 an xbox to
Amen
that song... explosions in the sky?
is that Explosions in the Sky playing in background?
There Is No Need For Another SimCity Societies!!!
I WANT that GAME!!!
nice game
This is like Tropico 4. Which is better? SC or Tropico? Any suggestions guys..
wow, interested. in this. at least one game at e3 as caught my attention
Yeah, one could troll like that, but from what I've seen and heard, for effects like that to affect other cities, it takes a long time.
What's up with the powerline?
I hope the keep the U-drive it so you have stuff to do inside the city
yeah , I want it NOW :(
If you’re like me and installed mods to Tropico 4 which allow the population to go into the thousands and/or build well past the mission complete mark, Sim city 4 may be the game for you That said Sim city 4 is dated and has quite a few minor problems, there are also no missions and it’s on a grid system so without intensive modding your limited in what you can do and building variety (which is still alot). All and all Sim city 4 is better than tropic if your in it for the building aspects. GL
There should be underground power cables!
Will there be a new simcopter ? :D
I need to play it. I have to.
They used that song by Explosions in the Sky I don't know how to feel about this
JEP i wanna play!!!! May there will be a mod for very large maps. I think there will be very much SimCity mods, just like Simcity 4.
"Scene is composited gameplay" at 3:09 Is Godzilla gone for good?
at :31 seconds, why can you place power lines if power agents always travel through roads?
And don't forget the fact that you can just play like "what if that happens" and then totally destroy your city. But actually be able to load the city up again after the disaster to how it was before and being able to play on again.
1:10 Bancouver. Hmm sounds oddly familiar.
I think it will just like FIFA 13. you can play it offline but many features will be disabled for obvious reasons
What name did they decide on for the burger place, I wonder.
This isn't a Sim City game. Sim City died at Sim City 4. That was the culmination of YEARS of evolution and development. The new Sim City has a much HEAVIER emphasis on player player interaction than the previous tities of single man wonders. Its an ENTIRELY different game and comparing it with one and another would be like comparing a FPS to a MMO. The bones of Sim City is still here , tax rates, wind pollution , and a LOT HEAVIER emphasis on micro . TBH , this is more of a Sims Town
same here :(
Guys, I want to play Simcity, but which is the best version of this game that you could recommend to me?... like Stronghold, don't play stronghold 2 or 3, play Stronghold Crusader xP.. Thanks.
Never Stop Building. Until you hit our miniature map size limit.
Don't worry. It's a lot like Sim City 4 except improved. Yeah, I didn't really like Societies where you place every single individual building down. This Sim City game has the zones, thankfully. They work a little bit differently though. But that doesn't matter. :)
for our core fans of SimCity? We have something for you too. SMALL MAPS FOR EVERYRONE!
Smaller maps means you have to force the city to use EVERY LAST INCH of land , the pollution will also be closer to your residential areas , the wind will bring the pollution and cause sickness , you have to micro manage your individual buildings and in tune with the modern theme of environmental conservation, you can't reclaim land as if you are god Although cities of epic proportion of millions of inhabitants are a thing of the past , the collaboration between PEOPLE still makes it possible.
persistent online connection? no region control? no subways or el-trains? no control over connections between cities? NO TERRAFORMING? what kind of half-assed game are they trying to pawn off on us? fuck the multiplayer just give us a spectacular single player experience
i have that game xD but what i want is a modern military and economy battle between cities xD kindda like world at war and simcity combine . know any game like that?
Japanese Man 1 - "Run! It's godzilla!" Japanese Man 2 - "It looks like godzilla, but due to international copy right laws, it's not." Japanese Man 1 - "Still we should run like it is godzilla!" Japanese Man 2 - "Though it isn't.." Both of them - "AHHHHH"
Extended map size is DLC
Yes please! :D
I guess it would work both ways
I don't think with these new graphics that is looks like a real city anymore like it did in SimCity4
Unabale to manipulate the terrain?
Compared to SimCity 4, graphics on this game takes it to the MAX. Bit of a disappointment that SimCity 5 will not be available on the Mac. The is
Is this the song from Friday Night Lights?
They're not the final ones
you can only invite friends so no trolls (unless you make the place public)
is there tsunami in sim city ?
also it seems the map size of each city is the size of the medium map in simcity 4. WHAT? that was puny. thanks maxis for giving me next to NO control of my city
The major thing I don't like about this game is the walking animation for people. It's like they're all walking in unison and they hop up and down. It's going to give me throbbing headaches if I build a densly populated city. Please get on that, Maxis!
godzilla in simcity....SHIT GOT REAL
This looks like the Sims 3 city editor.
Never stop playing? Illved the game soô much, but what killed it was the small maps
I think this might give it a run for its money
Never stop building... until you run out of room.
Unfortunately, a lot of things kill the game. City size is a pretty big deal though.
you must feel accomplished
You sure your not a Blizzard employee?
power lines? .... would of been a good idea if they kept that
I can't wait to launch a Godzilla attack on cities.
Then unleash a tornado and keep building.
GOZILLAAAAAH!!!
So it is time for me to upgrade my computer :)
Same with Sims Freeplay uh no it's not freeplay I need to be connected to the internet with my mobile to play if it was freeplay I would be able to play offline and only had to log in now and then to share with friends if I even have any who play it. Which I don't, this will be the same, a great game but the internet connection will be highly annoying.
theres not even power lines in the game but yet they show them in this trailer plus a lot of other stuff not available, like hotels, natural gas power plants, highway systems, military, subway systems, taxi service, church's, turn lanes on streets. What about car crashes, police impound lots, tow trucking services, weather conditions like snow, and plenty of other stuff simcity 4 mostly had. What about economical crisis's?
No, you were the only one who was thinking it.
Because its trying to add a sense of realism to it? Sure! The fun factor kinda got wacked , but still , you can always go into sandbox mode with infinite money to build a skyscape for you to destroy
its actually your 2nd multiplayer simcity get it right
