Welcome back to the channel! Here is some onboard footage from my last race at Silverstone, this time on the National circuit where I made my race debut in March 2018.
Back then, my best lap time was a 1.11.7 so I was hoping to get into the 1.07's and that's exactly what happened in qualifying, ending up P8 on the grid of 31 cars. Happy days.
I had an excellent start, jumping Alfie Jone's Civic a row ahead but after a small moment at Copse, the Honda's were long gone on the run to Becketts. This is where a big accident would bring the red flag out after a huge impact into the wall for one of the Odell Fiesta ST's and Cade's Clio. Drivers OK, thankfully.
On the second restart (a shortened 30 minute race), I again got a good start on Alfie but had to slot in behind at Copse.
The first 15 mins of the race were dominated by a brilliant battle between myself and the Reynolds/Rigeon Clio (same one as Oulton Park last time) in which we had corner by corner position swapping. Great fun and great racing from us both.
A brilliant pit stop saw us jump the Papworth Civic to eventually come home 6th. Very pleased with that days work!
