Lyrics:
People dying for no reason at all,
Age is no difference or if you're large or small.
Families being torn apart.
Doesn't have to be this way.
Some people, just have no heart.
It's happening every day.
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
Machine guns pumping, hearts thumping,
Death is all around.
People crying for freedom,
No one hears the sound,
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
Pure massacre alright
There's people crying.
There's people dying.
But someone's taken it all, yeah.
Machine guns pumping,
Hearts thumping,
Death is all around,
People crying for freedom
No one hears the sound
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
Pure massacre, yeah
Pure massacre
Pure massacre
It's gonna be a pure massacre.
Yeah!

Should have been a teen in the 70's when people still minded their own business and life wasn't filled with social media and an endless stream of whining children. Music was great and we made the very best of our times rocking and rolling across America!

you have to make your kids listen to music like i did with my son, he is 15 and likes system of a down, serj, slipknot and tool. granted he was brought up on it in the back seat. what he listens to with his friends i have no idea, but i gave him the basic tools. my car was a no rap, pop, hip hop zone.

Or 70s 60s . And rock and roll came about in the 50s but came from the great blues of the thirtys and fortys. So really just like alot of things. And im tbin thinking productive adults it all ended in about the 90s. How how how old can you be and still be claimed as a dependent now a day's.

This was my favorite song. Along with Israels son, stone temple pilots, monster magnet, sevendust, filter, pearl jam, soundgarden, nirvana, Kenny Wayne shepherd, offspring, and a lot of other great bands of the 90s, these guys got me through that decade. This is the kind of music I'm into. Can't get enough of it, and it seemed to just fall on your lap, now it's like digging for gold to find a good band or two to enjoy for a little while until you need your next fix. I'm a starving hard rock listener and I'm losing my hair trying to get enough of these good bands together on my phone to listen to. Figuratively speaking of course. We need more talent like these guys. Just sucks I have to sift through Selena gomez, that dumb bitch that taps the cups, the crazy gaga chick, the hot iggy chick, and fucking Bruno mars. That shit erks me to no end. In the 90s all that garbage was sell out music. Oh another good band...garbage, hole, cranberries, smashing pumpkins, creed, and bush. Okay done.

At the time I thought the lyrics where silly and pathetic; in 2016 they just sound appropriate

Here’s exactly why i think music was better back then. The young artists were the ones actually writing the stuff. With just a little help from more founded or traditional or classical musicians and the music “adults”. Nowadays they still scoop up the 16 year olds, but a team of 20 45 year olds write the music. Youth has always had a way with art and creation. Their spark is still unique and much less honed by criticisms that are often over matters like “tightness, in key, good sound, perfect timing” and they start to focus too much on the mechanics and too little on the spark. Music like that loses its “why” in favor of its “what”. We need the “why” back. But with a world so divided, many people deem the why too risky to pursue. Instead, listen to this 5,000 dollar synth on an 80 gram vinyl.

All that I can say is that Silverchair is totally different than Nirvana, even in that period 95 -96. Also Kurt was 27 in 1994. And these kids were 17 years old. They had have a great evolution cheers for Silverchair
