I am really disliking Japanese zoos. This enclosure is too small for this family. Then you got the same with Momotaro's family. Momotaros belongs to a Japanese zoo, so the poor thing doesn't have too much choice, but Shabani's owner is Apenhuel; they should do something about these conditions. I am not against enclosures where these beautiful animals are protected, and obviously, they cannot live in the wild if born in captivity, but the least we owe them is to have a big enough, decent place to live.

This zoo is not well planned for these animals...too small, not enough vegetation, water fall etc. Shabani needs a new wife...Nene is sooo old and AI has a weird personality and not interested in having babies( poor mother) and not interested in Shabani. The zoo is negligent in taking correct care of these gorillas.

Having been to Japan recently and visited Ueno, Kyoto and Higashiyama zoos I can attest to the fact that they are much bigger enclosures than they appear. Kyoto zoo is the smallest of the 3 but still much bigger than it appears on video due to the limitations of videoing itself. However, they are working on an expansion to the gorilla house. Both Ueno and Higashiyama are quite large and comparable to the USA zoos I've been to. Remember, they also have indoor parts and private areas away from the public. This zoo spent around 6 billion yen to build this new enclosure. They have planted plants many times, but Kiyo has always pulled them out. It is also a fairly new enclosure so it takes time for trees to grow to maturity.

At 11 years old, a male gorilla is an adult, the alpha male is young and his son is challenging him through the only female. It will end badly if the silverback stops tolerating the presence of another male even if it is his own son, it is the law of nature and the zoo is very irresponsible by letting this situation happen.

@@mikeswife5298 He wouldn't get a wife straight away anyway. There's literally loads of silverbacks in bachelor groups on the waiting list for wife's. Kiyo might go in a bachelor group with Gentaro, Kintaro, Jabali and Ringo and be on a waiting list

They don't seem to have a plan in place to move him out. Until a serious injury happens and that will be coming soon by the way things are going The zoo is 100% at fault here

Kyo is so unique. He is the son and grandson of a legend. with such a sweet and fun personality It's sad to see this situation with his dad like this. But Shabani has endured enough, including the females being against her and leaving Shabani aside. I hope he soon has his own family and Shabani a new female Annie deserves a family too. The situation worsens as the days go by.

Glad to see Shabani being first through the door, he should make that a permanent thing. He doesn’t seem to care if Ai or Annie goes in front of him, but Kiyo should not be first because it seems little things like that make him think he’s the leader. Shabani is making sure they know who’s boss, while still being his sweet self. Good thing it wasn’t Annie that Kiyo slapped or it would’ve been a lot worse😅 but still he made sure to stick up for Ai❤️

Shabani reprend les Rênes c lui le patron. malgré l amour qu il porte à son fils il était temps de montré à kiyo les limites à ne pas franchir.
