Good advice Blackie,.....I live near Newburgh, NY (rural area), this morning at 5 it was 75 degrees and 83% humidity. Bad air due to claimed high ozone levels, and constant threat of T- storms, so I'll stay in the AC and watch videos. Todays forecast is for 92, been in the 90s since Wed. we have our 1st heatwave of '24, to last through the weekend!

BLACKIE, do you ever do any videos regarding bug out bags and show what you would take for a long term bug out ??? If you could do a video on that it would be very interesting.

I bought a $200 free standing mosquito net, it's like a 10x10, weighs probably 50 pounds - mostly for keeping the wife comfy on car camping trips - got it at Costco, and it seems like reasonable quality. Then I started thinking about it and just about everywhere we go has got trees where I could hang a mosquito net like a tarp and found a bunch of options on Amazon. I've definitely been keeping an eye out for a system like this that would be more packable. Thanks for the video! Hugely helpful.

Thats nice cause I got a bug screen with the onewind hammock but its challenging getting in and out of hammock, as the net kinda wraps close around the hammock.. this however lets the old man roll out and grump around until he gets stood up straight! Lol. Love it. Put one on order!

It was 7 degrees C (44.6) last night in my neck of the woods (Brisbane, Australia). I feel for you with the heat and bugs. Large mesh area has always been the best way to cool Sometimes I don’t even put the outside skin of my Coleman tent (I have a large tarp over the top of it).

Oh boy hot nights are hard on us northern folks. Hot temps, high humidity and a high dew point aint no fun. Add to that a lady that might be at a time in life where she produces a lot of heat. You need room Sometimes to get up and sit in a chair. That said you can't beat a battery operated fan blowing air on your face.

It definitely offers a few options and that’s a good thing. Here in Oklahoma some nights can get just miserable with low temperatures in the 80’s with humidity to match with no breeze.

Near piece of kit! I can see running another line under your tarp to tie your hammock up out of the way to make a larger screen room to hang out in.👍

I have one of them and just shared it last week on hammock forums. You can set up a wiz bucket or bottle and not get bit up. Also gives you room to run a bigger fan. At 2lbs 9 oz. it's backpackable Id just leave my chair behind and use my hammock. Good review. I Run my straps thru the double zippers and tie the top zipper to the strap so when my weight pulls down on the strap, it also closes the top zipper. It will trip you up going in and out if your not carefull though.
