My grad was a few years earlier, in a town the same size, a couple hundred miles to the west. It has changed beyond all recognition, and Silver has not.

been going to silver city for 43 years and have stayed at the lulu and liked the price and the clean room compared to other accommodations it's a great price go look at the big hole and eat at the patio in south hurly on main Street 😊lived in sliver 2 years downtown ain't so great but ok the drifter is no longer in service

Good to know, about the Drifter. I'll cross that one off my list of last-ditch options, heh.

Thanks for the post. I looked around Silver City last year, I want to live there I went to a real estate place that rents houses for owners. I looked at a lot of house with a real estate lady, the houses were old, some pitiful, some smelled like mildew, one place was ok but backed up to a dangerous/trashy looking vacant lot

I've learned over time that there is no perfect place, but for 20+ years I've considered SC to be as good as it gets. Hope to be back there soon with an update.
