Smashed it, HSCC! I love that song. One of Wings best. The mix is stellar, with Con’s bass front and centre as it should be. Horns are awesome, Danny’s vocal sublime and the harmonies just brilliant.

Yes, great version of this song: I think the bass should be a little louder in the mix (this is a hard-ish bass riff!) but otherwise just great!

I smiled when I saw HSCC was covering this song because I instantly knew that Con would totally dominate with this incredible bass line. And he sure delivered! This dude is just phenomenal on bass.

This video is my introduction to him, I’m a new fan. Incredible vocal delivery and great stage presence. It feels like he perfects the fundamentals of singing rather than popping the crowd with flashy tricks. It’s a voice you can never get tired of.

I'll be honest. I was never a huge fan of wings, but I can keep my personal feelings about a song itself separate from the performance and there's zero doubt that this song was done perfectly. I'm just not shocked anymore by the talent, I just look forward to every release with the knowledge it's GOING to be great. No matter what it is. Biggest respect. If this were the 90's I'd say every person here deserves a contract of some kind in the industry, but honestly, in 2023, I'm quite selfishly happy to have them all in this group doing these songs for all of us to enjoy, basically for free in every way. We're damn lucky to have this group.

One of your best to date HSCC. The impact that this cover had on me this morning was overwhelming, filled me with emotion and happiness....not easy to do. From start to finish this cover was flawless. The sampling of the silly sounds at the start were spot on. Instrumentally a tricky song to get right, lots of layers, starts and stops but you guys nailed it 100%. Vocals by Danny were incredible as always as were the backing vocals. My sincere compliments to you all, you really are world class musicians and masters of your craft.

I hit like on the first bass note played! I'm a huge Beatle fan as well as their solo work. This song has probably one of the best bass lines ever played by Paul and that's saying a lot. Great work everybody! Now give us more Beatles, can't ever go wrong with that!

Danny Lopresto hits another one out of the park, and having Kat Jade and Jordan Lennon as background vocals is a mixture of greatness. The whole band shined on this song, as the horns were awesome, and that bassline Mr. Delo was driving was not missed. Overall, McCartney put many layers into this song, and they were on full display by the HSCC. Great job!

Wonderful! I asked for some McCartney-songs a few weeks back, and this one more than delivers. Such a great groove, and the brass makes it perfect. Excellent cover.

Paul, Linda, their kids and the rest of Wings spent several weeks recording in the Nashville area in 1974. My mom who worked in the house they rented got to hang out with them and she still has some cool memorabilia from the stay. Nice job.

@@blueycarlton Thanks for your reply, but I was wondering if anyone “actually” knew the answer. (i.e. my question was directed to the original poster of this thread.) If I had a blank piece of paper, I could’ve put all those characteristics about Nashville. But London is also a great place for music, & a lot of good musicians, & a great place to be. If it wasn’t, then the Beatles would’ve left London, to recorded in Nashville, (instead of Abbey Road Studios in London) Also L.A. / Capitol records is also vey good with many musicians. & Sun, Studios Memphis where Elvis recorded, etc. & NYC there’s also great places, were John Lennon recorded all this work from the 1970s. The reason why I asked is because Paul lived in England most of his adult life. (unlike John and now Ringo who abandoned England to live in the USA) and the majority of Paul’s music work was written and produced in England. - Edited to fix typos.
