It’s the beginning of another adventure building a home start to finish with the Perkins Brothers and Crew!! As usual we are perched on a remote mountain top in the the Great Smoky Mountains, which poses it’s own unique challenges for construction.
On this episode we frame the lower level floor system! This includes installing the support posts, girders, and plates that attach the woodwork to the foundation!

I thought it said, "But wait! If you pay shipping and handling, we'll give you a second tool for free." LOL
As a native German speaker I can assure you that it’s absolutely fine what they wrote. It just tells the reader that you’re recommending the tool. And they refer to your position as a vocational masters in construction (which has a super high reputation in Germany.)

With this house, I finally became the owner of the house I always wanted to be in. For moving trailers in and out job sites like that, a trailer hitch on the front bumper of the truck should do the trick.

That's a gorgeous site with a fantastic view. Good job on the framing.
I loved it when you realized you were headed to the wrong site. I feel better now. Every time I've started a new project I've done that more than once. It's an autopilot feature of our brains and the fact that every contractor is thinking about twenty different issues at any given moment. I've been at this 38 years as a contractor and the only time it doesn't happen is if the last project was in another county, state or country. Keep cranking out great videos...
Excited to see new content the day after Christmas! Thank you!
Another gem from the Perkins crew.....gotta start making people pay for all the pro tips lol....the attention to the details is awesome....great work

One guy can toe-screw from proud joist to low one and suck it down to flush. Done it many times. Takes one guy, not two. Glad you guys are laid-back. If I'd done that in 1980 on the framing crew I was on I would have been "DOWN THE ROAD!" as the boss, Gordy, would say. We wasted no time. We got 'er dun. Basement Stem walls to 2nd floor roof decking in four days flat. Just framing. We were a speed-framing crew. It was brutal, but fun. I learned a lot. I learned how to produce.
You guys mess around a lot, and make tons of jokes, and make the jobsite enjoyable! But you all know exactly what you're doing, and bust it out when it comes time to work! Another great video as always, thanks for taking us a long.

Had a job site North of my house that I drove to for 3 years (Exxon Woodlands), after I was released to work elsewhere, I still drove North, but exited 30 miles too soon. Took about a week for the natural instinct to exit to finally wear off.
