Thank you for reviewing the Silky saws. As a professional carpenter I’ve used a Silky Gomeboy for almost 30 years. It was a game changer when I got it! They are very sharp and durable and cut through wood faster than it takes to find your power saw. Super handy for all kinds of situations. Highly recommended.

Absolutely. I included the Silky in my video about tools I bought immediately after seeing them or using them. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y4Nkyqmvmc7Nd5s.html
the amount of tools you own is absolutely insane :D
Thank you for a very informative video much appreciated
I always carry a "Big Boy" in my truck tool box. It'll take care of a fairly large downed tree - which I've done a couple of times. So much smaller and lighter than a chainsaw, and no fuel or oil required.
When the guy rocking the submariner is giving a good review you know you’ve got a good product Lolol
Great explanation of these new saws 🪚 Thanks for making this in-depth video.
Excellent review
I have the Silky Gunfighter. Love it.
Excellent comparison
Great saws! Outback series came out a few months after I purchased my first Gomboy 210.
Seriously considering a Gomboy 240 for situations during barn building in the occasional place where the circular saw or recip saw isn't practical
I love mine.
I came here for the saw review. I have a 170 Outback but am trying to convince myself of a reason to buy the 2 larger models. Also, nice Sea Dweller. I have a Coke GMT.
Going to pick one up to prune trees with.
i always wonder how does the gomboy outback compare to the bahco laplander
i have put my cheap amazon corona 8 in to the test looks like its time to upgrade to a silky
Have any aviation snips to feature? Have an offset pair of red and greens from Midwest out on every metal barn build and they're so good it's satisfying.
Nice sub
How well do the different sizes of the smaller and medium sized ones fit inside the PackMule?
Could have used one the other day. Rather, my son could have. I cut down about a dozen smaller trees (2-3" stalks) with a recip. All I had. He did the rest.

Hello again Doc Thank you for another Great Video. How would these work on say, Trimming a palm 🌴. The quicker I can get it done the better. Which saw would be the best choice? Again thank you

Hello George. Thanks for watching! I think the course Silky blade would made as short a work as possible on a Palm. Harder woods like oak, cherry, etc. would benifit from a finer tooth, but in my experience palm is fairly soft.
Would you recommend a curved blade on a 130mm saw or would that be too short for a curved blade?

I'd prefer a straight blade on a saw that short. The curve requires a different stroke motion that would be hard with a short blade. Also the curve does not fit as well between tight branches or remain as directionally controlled when gutting game.

Thanks doc. I’m gonna get one for hunting season this year. I’ve been looking for a good saw for my hunting pack.
Interested in that axe you have to the side

Granfors Bruk Outdoor Hatchet.
I don't like the folding saws they're hard on the wrist I was using the samurai saws, but the silky Zubat is the way to go in my opinion.
Those blades look like they haven't seen any action

The Outbacks are brand new, the small orange one cuts a ribcage or two a year then is sterilized. But the red one has seen much action. Just not dropped on rocks or beat up. It does its job and goes home.
