@@abhilashagulati7417 it's not the flood but mostly landslides which created road blocks. Next month is perfectly ok to visit sikkim as it's the best season.

If u reached Siliguri (NJP) always take Sikkimese car (SK ) number.because it would be more safety and quite free from scam s compare to WB car.

I have a travel office too in gangtok and I have always discouraged tourist from taking the service of an agent outside of our state. what they basically do is, once you book your package at njp or siliguri, they calls an agent in sikkim since wb agents are not allowed to function here in Sikkim, for this reason, agent in siliguri charge you an astronomical money...basically siliguri agents functions on commission basis, they will take their cut and hands you over to an agent in sikkim. and in case of emergency, neither would try to accommodate your issues. My tip to any tourist, always book your package from an agent who runs their office from gangtok.

Diwali k samay waha bheed jayda hogi. Aap Gangtok me 1-2 din ka stay online book kar sakte hain fir baaki ki chizen waha ja kar pata laga sakte hain. Agar family k saath ja rahe hain to pahle se book karna sahi hoga kyuki peak season me thodi dikkat aa sakti hai

We are planning to go yo Jalpaiguri in the month of April. From there we want to visit Gangtok and Darjling. Please suggest us: 1 Is April month is good for this visit. Will it be off-season? 2. We have only three days and two nights for this trip. Pl suggest the best itinerary, transport as well as hotels for stay. Please also suggest where we can have a Jain food (without garlic and onion) 3 Please also suggest what points we should cover during this short visit. 4. Any other point if you want to add.

Chances are that it will be crowded during Christmas so i would suggest you to some travel agent or hotels before going.
