Hey stephen, you would be surprised how many incredibly rare demos / private recordings and rarities appeared on yt and even more on p2p's / blogs from the secodn half of the 00s... I try to keep informed with what happens now in music (mostly electronic music, i'm not into contemporary post-punk / new wave bands, with some exceptions ) but i spend most of my money on reissues or old records. That said, congrats - i listened to this demo twice in row and i like the sound of Silent Scream ! I'm definitely interested and i hope i wasn't late for the 10" - it's not for sale on discogs and neither on the label's bandcamp. Usually i don't miss stuff like that but i didn't knew the label all

we had a full live set and recorded 6 other songs. it might be released dependant on the success of the 3 track 10" release of these tracks on Evil has Landed records. Yes it was a great time but we are all still active musicians.

@@stevevbell I just want to say this is the most creative and engaging couple of songs I've ever heard, the maze is the song that inspired to move towards more guitar based songwriting and melodic work. If there ever comes a time when you end up releasing more I will be there listening gratefully.

@@apactbetweenstrangers9616 the release must have been interrupted by Covid. Evil Has Landed haven’t been in contact for quite a long time, we got as far as test pressing and choice of covers for a 12”. Will keep you informed or check Discogs, perhaps the record company are waiting until there is demand on the Discogs wantlist

Yup, maybe like, icy post-punk, chilli cold , full moon night sky post punk. Not to dump on cold or any wave- but im very sure ( correct me if im wrong ), that to there is no keyboards and we seem to be swinging with a live drummer behind a real drum set if not mistaken. Drum machine keyboards and generally slower tempos are requiremnets for most wave stuff lol

Honestly, we never had all these names for types of music. It was all alternative for the longest, then in the later 80’s became the difference of post punk from other alternative music.

What's the difference between shoegaze and goth besides vibe? I don't mean this in any kind of mean-spirited way, I'm just curious about the difference in a musical, intellectual sense.

Goth came from the Post-Punk movement in the 80s, aesthetics, music and culture was based on gothic design (like architecture) and gothic literature. Melancholic and dissonant sounds are key. Shoegaze formed in the early 90s and drew inspiration from Post-punk, but also mixed in psychedelic + garage rock sounds and HEAVY fuzz/distortion. Shoegaze tends to be slower paced and heavier in atmosphere, whereas goth is more " spooky " and... Well.. Goth lol. Shoegaze also tends to be more slow paced and harmonic sounding, with drowned out vocals as opposed to the darker and clearer sounding aspects of Goth with strong bass guitar.
