I noticed this ending is the only time Heather smiles in the game. I was glad she was able to actually smile and joke after all she's been through.

Heather's real name is Cheryl, her adoptive father renamed her to protect her from dahlia or from the order( group that serves 'god')

@@imoanadz Shattered Memories follows the Bad- ending of Silent Hill, where Silent Hill 3 follows either the Good+ or Good- ending of Silent Hill.

It makes so much more sense when you know that heather turns around because there was supposed to be a baby crying

origins, 3, and 4 are my favorite silent hill games. Travis is a badass prequel hero, Heather's a cute tragic badass, and henry is a cool nice guy. the order are truly the villains

Heather's really cute but her smile just looks a bit creepy. If this game was made at least in ps3 her smile would have looked natural. But nonetheless the graphics still amazes me how team silent did it considering that this is ps2.

I'd prefer not tbh. Because usually when we get to see the main character from the previous installment in any game series, usually they would end up dying so that the game could replace that character for a new protagonist or something like that (don't apply to all games ofc, but just the thought of it scares me).

Enhanced Edition for the PC is as close as one would get for SH2. SH3 unfortunately does not have such comprehensive treatment.

did you use art money cause when I tried to use art money my virus protecter said it was a virus and deleted it D:

Probably no one sees this but I'll leave it just in case... Does anyone know if it's true that the reason Heather/Cheryl looks back in the last scene of the normal ending is because she hears a baby crying? I recently saw a video about the removed content from Silent Hill 3 and at the end originally it can hear a baby crying. And even with that audio deleted the scene remained, in addition to Masahiro Ito confirming that the "baby" crying is canon, it exists but it's not known who or what it is

Cheryl has psychic abilities still from when she was in the body of Alessa. This is shown throughout the game with instances such as premonitions, so we can assume that this is another, but maybe we are finally not in the place of her once the end happens. She is her own person now, so we depart from her perspective.

oh isee. ya silent hill can get alittle confusing if you dont pay attencion. trust me i know. played half way through the first game and hade to restart becouse i was so confused.

but to answor your gustion in the first silent hill you played as harry mason or heather/cheryls dad. in the first game you went after an 8 year old cheryl only to find a women named Dahlia (if you want to know who she is. look it up) and she trikes you and cheryl turns out to be a girl by the name of allessa. after you bethe final boss. allessa gives harry a new born baby. and aparntly harry renamed cheryl to keep her hiden. lots of back story.

Yeahhhh nice try, the 2nd game belongs in it too, the story of that game is one of the best video game stories ever.

and the only way to get the whole thing you need to play silent hill 1. sh2 dusn't have any plot points in sh1 or 3 so you can skip it

It was really sad song when Cheryl lost her father, Harry. In the end, after knowing her true origins, she'll always be a Mason. 🥲🙂😊💜🙏🏻
