Never played any silent hill games, but I'm pretty convinced that SH2 ost is one of the greatest musical achievements in a mankind.

If you want the best of the best, you might wanna go for a PS2 version or Original Xbox Platinum Hit version. The konami crew fcked up the HD collection so you might wanna avoid the HD version. Best experience, bud.

So oddly comforting, but ominous and mysterious at the same time.

I love this one, I feel the paranormal thing, the mist, the atmosphere, the cold of another dimension, but at the same time I feel the city, the normal and mundane things because the rythm and the jazzy treatment. It's a perfect mix of paranormal and normal, love it.

I'm wearing a Heaven's Night t-shirt right now and my favorite Silent Hill 2 track is Null Moon. I agree 100% with this comment.

This was my first introduction to Silent Hill 2 music before I even played the game. It really transports you to a dark, mysterious place that's hard to describe. I hope it makes it into the remake!

Such a calm and wonderful song. It captures the beauty and tranquillity of the darkness.

It's amazing how a very scary horror game had such good music lol.

I just got to this part. (Currently playing the game for the first time) And this is my favorite track thus far. It calms me , intrigues me , and scares me at the same time.

This makes me remember the last time i was happy... the last time life was meaningful and i was not insecure... that last time i was still colorful from the inside and the outside....

It was refreshing to see eddie in this part of the game, cause you've been facing nothing but darkness, fog, and faceless walking flesh attacking you. Seeing a human face after that gives you hope.

Amazing Atmospheric Soundtrack Ambience.. 🎶☯️🎶 The reason why Silent Hill 2 it became a classic is because eventually people began to see how unique, eerie, melancholic and authentic the game's atmosphere it really is, and took the time to enjoy its deeply thoughtful narrative and symbolism. To this day it’s by far one of, if not the most mature examination of grief, sexual trauma, suicide, and morality all combined. It’s an intelligent game that does not hold anyone’s hand and comes at the player with utmost confidence in itself. It’s fantastic stuff. The rest of the original 4 are great in their own right and have their own well written stories, but they don’t hold the same emotional weight to them. I think SH2’s maturity by comparison is something that a lot of people are drawn to. ☯️

The ingame tracks are all midi-files that use samples of the instruments used in the actual recording. Heaven's Night sounds different on many parts, one being the echo not existing in the midi version as they couldn't reproduce it. The midi files however at least loop perfectly.

I like the drums on this version. The drums are more prevalent, gives it substance.
