I'm done with this loop. This loop is extremely badly designed, even by scopleys low standards. It's difficult, it's complicated and takes an absolute age to get a payoff. It needs a major rewrite, preferably not by the people that came up with this shambles

Thanks for the video Rev. A little side-track on the dolamide particles and "thanks Scopely" part: They added a F2P option to acquire those particles, that much is true, but let's look at "how": Field training: 7th milestone of the Voyager field training rewards 400 particles which is huge but it requires 1000 turn-ins of insignia. We can do 8 of those at most a day because of cooldowns which means 125 days of clicking with "max. efficiency" but here is the kicker: YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO GET THERE! Because simply no one is getting these kinds of drops that gives you enough to turn them in. So in reality, this will take literally more than a year to complete... and by then it becomes pretty pointless for your gameplay. Ex-Borg: The particles are in the mega chests which unlock at exalted which cost BANANAS amount of epic credits (which you obiously not get as much of). So either you buy, buy, buy some packs (NX-01 to get more Ex-Borg credits, Ex-Borg packs to get to exalted quickly or Ex-Borg packs to get more credits) or it is a pretty insignificant amount that you will be getting, once you get there at all. The best part is, if you are F2P (or at least not buy €100 packs) and need like 6 months to get there, and by the time you get there, well, it does not matter as much then any more. Section 31: This is the only true place to get these particles, and it is great. Level 4 of the efficiency primes require 600 of these particles but that's absolutely fine, we are obviously getting this for free. I just want to say that this looks very much like "hey look, we gave you ways to accomplish this by grinding!" but "the grind" is taking anywhere from quite a few months to literally years in this case.

100% this. They gave us a way to get the particles ftp, but at best it's a token gesture and at worst a slap in the face. I don't think we should be thanking Scopely for that or we're setting the bar incredibly low.

Am Ops 39 - used maxed Enterprise with Severus/Decius/Charvanek with Neelix & Harry BD (Morale & Burning) plus usual Hugh and others - also used +80% Explorer Damage Exocomp. Killed 1 x L41 Interceptor- had 10% hull left - 1 hostile per trip token isn’t going to work for me.

Cerritos boost and you'll be able to kill a dozen... problem then... spawn rate because no one kills the 49s... way too much disparity in power to kill them.

The event that’s paired with this event forces players to drop down to a system that drops loot that doesn’t do them any good, just to “compete/score” in the event. If you stick to the assigned/needed hostiles, you will fall very low in the leaderboard (not able to score a lot of kills for leaderboard)

Spent 5 tokens, tried 5 different builds, 0 kills, feels great...

Thanks Rev, Nice to clarify what exactly one has to do for this new grind loop. There is soo much in STFC you need a database just to understand where to find each chest and what each chest does.

First observation: there is not enough systems, especially the 41 ones. Second observation: Why put mining nodes in the samy system, probably to cause even more lag. After first run: Those hostiles fire 4 salvos each turn. What does that say? Use Janeway. Grab a toolbox with one SNW on side. Or Tucker. Pack Hugh underdeck. Generally - crews that work against freebooters will work here as well. With a small modification. I need to test out which exactly sidekick works best but that's the template. To finish up - I don't like the idea with ops dedicated loot. That's complete bonkers, artificial duplication of items in inventory. And forcing to hit specific type of hostiles. Also if I ops up before using up all the previous stuff - what then? It'll stay littering my inventory till servers die? Also just a thought - no skipping ships = more camping. You hear that $copley overloards? MORE CAMPING! Don't tell I didn't warn you.

I can easily farm dozens and dozens of the same level freebooters but can only get 1 of these using the recommended Severus crew with all max officers and zero with the others.

@@mikes1689 Well, I can get enough loot for a triple pull from 2 trips but I kinda over-tiered a Kelvin for my level. And repair costs are draining me now :D I'll just repeat what I've said already - this game punishes you for leveling up.

Yep great a 46 to 50 look with a lvl 49 hitting lowest in bracket. Way this is designed event sms is based on highest op lvl in bracket and using that ship at a high tier min t8. Feel free your ships are capable of hitting 51s but how many can you kill full 33 off 2 cells?. Yes you are 49 hitting 46s. Try being 51 and hitting 51s without a g4 epic or way bracket is a g5 uncommon at t6+

Scopely's modus operandi seems to be like this - launch an event with an extremely difficult grind. Sell prime that will ease said grind. Wait 24 hours for people to pay up for the prime. Then reduce the difficult "You voiced your concerns and we're listening".

Absolutely the worse loop ever! Further proof that nobody at Scopely actually plays the game with a normal account or they would know how difficult to impossible this is for lots of players. I tried all 3 recommended crews plus the one in your youtube and managed to kill only 1 at the ops level it requires to get a total of 296 of the parts to get a chest that cost 3000 to open. Ops 55 with a T5 Corvus have to hit level 55 silent enemy hostiles using mostly max officers. You should be telling everyone on youtube to only go after the level 41's and forgo the loot chest turn ins if you want any chance to finish the event, unless maybe if you are at the top of your bracket. If you are at the lower end of a bracket, there is NO chance. I can already grade this arc with a big fat F.

I just got to 46 f2p. My ships do not even have enough range. Besides Voyager of course. G fucking g.

lvl 39 with an almost 10mil Augur I used the Romulan crew and Got stomped into the dirt I did worse with it than with the other crews I tried before hand I have no idea how that weaker Ent survived in those screenshots. So between WD's that I can't kill anything past wave 2 besides surveys. Xindi, and now this. they have given me access to some cool stuff That I can not do in any meaningful time scale or in any fun way. I do like this quality they are providing.

It survived because I think he hit a hostile that had almost no hull left. If you check battlelogs you'll see that there's a red bar that shows how much hull the ship had left when you hit it, there's no red bar here so the ship probably had almost no hull when the Ent hit it.

I came back to this because i have a 40 with max augur and pretty much maxed research and am having trouble with these

When are they going to reduce the grind? New loops are fine and all Scopely seems to know how to do, but they have to get rid of some of the ancient, outdated content.

Would be nice if they gave out a few additional travel tokens on day1, allowing people to try crews etc.

this is crazy, based on your video, i just found out that since I'm a level 53 player that i have to kill the level 51-53 , i had used 2 tokens this afternoon going after the 4* so i just tried with using my 59m powered voyager and i got blown up right away. I used E-Picard, E-Data and Tucker

Tried several permutations and nothing, 41's wreck me instantly.

I'm not happy with a loop where i have to experiment with crews while also dealing with a system that requires tokens to get into, but hey you can get 2 a day. Best of luck figuring out what works best when there are so many variables and you only get 2 chances per day to make changes.

Know what else gets me... noone under lvl 40 has gotten any new content in 3 months... he'll longer than that it's all catered to the 40 and up spenders frankly I'm sick of these updates and the game in general the entire thing is a never ending grind

Don't want to waste tokens, easier said than done. I went in with two of my strongest ships (max Auger and T4 Kelvin) and got my äss handed to me both times so I'm out of an event because of it.

I have a almost 10mil augur I used the romulan crew like the ent in the screenshot and got totally stomped. So I have no idea how they survived.

The only crew you mentioned I have is the crew with Severus. I have a stronger Enterprise than the one in that picture. And I did not even make a dent in my hostiles. Once again something that I can't even hit one of to participate. Scopely stop coming out with bad laggy content and fix the older stuff and fix the stability above all please

I went for the one the lessened the amount of shards needed to get Artifacts just like Dev ,yesterday before I watched this Video 😊

i love camping 😌. and i started to like this silent enemy. i can kill 13-14 lv41 any type with no exo/support on 13.8m Ent. i use Janeway (c), Torres, Kirk. I'm lv41 f2p. camping makes you strong 😁

I'm using the Janeway/Doc/Gorkon crew with Hugh/Odo/Tendi below decks and and still have to kill two levels below what I'm "supposed" to be killing. I guess Scopley just wants us to camp more.

I ran SNW Ortegas, Ent-E Data and Tucker which was effective in getting more kills, rather than maximizing loot. Can be good for events where kills matter.

That crew on Enterprise, (Severus, Decius, and Charvanek) for the L39 must have had dumb luck or he hit a hostile that already had damage. I am L39 and used the same crew, but with a 9M+ Enterprise, and all the lower deck slots were filled with BD skills. Perhaps the guy in the example had higher level officers? I came close but no cigar. I also went after an L 41 interceptor hoping the triangle would help. Later... ok tried the same crew 4 times with Enterprise and got one victory over an Explorer. It did come close every time I lost though so I got lucky one of the times.

Ops52 here and the loop is impossible. This is built for someone who is maxed out with the best ship for their ops and all research up to date... so like 10% of the player base.

Not quite. Highest levels in the brackets seem to be the only ones that will be successful with the loop. Level 54 with a good g5 uncommon ship and research? Have fun! Level 55 with a g5 uncommon ship? Enjoy disappointment! Level 49s with a good g4 rare ship should kick start just fine.

Lower decks was key. Had to downgrade from my T2 Valdore to T9 Augur and put on Hugh (crit chance +), B'Elanna Torres (hull breach), Odo (crit damage +), Tom Paris (mitigation), D'Vana Tendi (hull health) with Severus crew. Could hit a few 41's or one 44. Other downside is that there are so many going after the 41's that my Cerritos buff expires before I can get more than one 41.

So first and foremost, thanks Rev for a great summary. What might have been added is that this loop is more than a challenge unless you are "Tier + 1or2 levels" so that you can punch down. A relatively new 41, 46, or 51 (based on which band you fall in) is not likely to be successful since they'd be swinging at level. As a recent 46 and w/o a tiered 46 rare ship the best I could do was the Janeway crew, +2 exo's, +cherry buffed, +fortified +stacked lower deck for damage to kill one hostile per token "at my required level". So IMO it seems scopely tested/tuned this in the upper half of the band ranges and there's a weak spot for those just entering the level band? IE: there's no value in killing what you can kill from the previous band - those rewards seem useless. Anyway, thanks again. I'll be "saving my tokens" for when I have a fighting chance.

I saw the cumulative crit damage on the new hostiles and immediately went to optimizing for for front loaded damage. I'm level 54, Ent-E Picard, Ent-E Data, Tyler on the Tribune with Hugh a maxed Torres and Neelix with 200k crew attack can do the 51s no problem but it can only take a few 54s. Phlox looks like this is what he is made for, but he and tucker have "players" in their description

I've been having good luck with Janeway, GG, and Tal, hugh, paris, and tendi below deck on a tier 6 Kelvin. hitting the 41s. but im ops 45. Destorying 18 at a time.

Mechanic Question: hey Rev. A few weeks back I was able to kill 6xl54 freebooters per hull. One fine day, something changed in the game and now with same ship, crew, system, etc. I can only kill max 2xl54 per hull. Any idea what scopely changed?

Ops 39 with maxed Augur. With Cerritos buff, exo, and multiple crews attempted with stacked BD, unable to kill any 41 silent hostle. (following battle triangle as well) Way to shut out a huge portion of players!

Just from this month, when i got and hit the lvl46 Silent Hostiles I'm lucky if i can do it in 20 minutes. The reason for it is that they're not spawning as they only have lvl49s in them. This is because the Lvl49s are way too strong and can't be killed by a Ops49....so all the Ops 49s sit in the middle of the system waiting for a 46 to spawn. It's a joke. they need to create a system per level of hostiles like the mantis.

On my level 52 account.....I'm a fresh 52 with my strongest ship being a 65M Talios and getting smoked by these things like everyone else. Looking through the vast number of negative comments already I have nothing new to add that hasn't already been said. I'll be checking out of this content completely. It's not worth the frustration and I've got a million other things to grind daily already. Meanwhile, on my level 29 account.....Ahhh, the simple life. BUT, thanks for NOT PUTTING CUBE BP'S IN THE EVENT STORE...WTF? I wasn't a high enough level to unlock the cube when it first came out, and picked up most of the BPS I needed in a following event store, and was looking forward to unlocking it fully this go around but.....NOPE. Thanks for nothing. BTW, the event store sucks for my 52 account as well. I honestly don't understand why they don't put almost EVERYTHING in the store so we can work towards getting something we truly want. Make it expenstive, IDC, at least it'll be in there and I'll have options. Again, as a player base we shouldn't feel like we're being punished every time something comes along. It's a game, IT SHOULD BE FUN RIGHT? RIGHT?!

My valdore has 3 lower deck seats and is 25 mil strength my aug is maxed and 13 mil strength which shud i use?

Yeah...this should be more fire and pitchforks on this grind loop. Ops 49 at the moment and I hate not having a way to spend any loot that you will get, especially when we are forced to drop down lower to hit these hostiles. I have a T6 Pilum at 35m power, you can argue I am underpowered sure but hey uncommon ship parts are a long grind too. Ran Severus Decius and Charvanek with Hugh Odo and Tendi below decks sicne I only can have 3 slots there at my level. A lvl 46 silent enemy dropped by 29.5m hull to 10m so effectively only one of these hostiles per token. We get two tokens a day and the event called for 2200 points, 4 of those 46 hostiles would only get me 260pts, at best with the launch day gift for tokens I have two more available to use. This is a flat out broken mechanic for majority of players! You want to reward us more for hitting those higher level hostiles, fine no problem, make those rare g4 pulls have better and more loot than the uncommon ones...but at least let us slow roll it with uncommon parts and lower hostiles if we don't have the power to punch up.

I'm going loopy. Is this the first time Scopely has released multiple loop grinds within a few months?

And of course after trying to kill one of the new enemies I get nowhere. Another event I cannot complete. Just an FYI Scopely. This isn't how you encourage players to stay and pay for things in your game. I guess I'll just put up a weekly shield and give it all a big miss. My Score for this year so far is a big fat F for your supposed improvements.

One thing I'm not clear on: Why isn't traditional PMC good against Silent? Wouldn't the total damage reduction be better than reducing the Crits?

Can we please fix the spawn rate? I end up parking my Pilum on a mine while I'm waiting for my level 46 ships to respawn. The system is flooded with level 49s and then when a 46 pops up there is a rush by everyone to try and get it.

been playing daily, completing all battle passes, pulling most things daily, including voyager recruit. Still only have half of janeway, no ent-e crews, no tucker... so where's the crew recommendation for that?

It seems like the difference between battleships, explorers and interceptors in very minimal and the triangle doesn’t matter much. Their defense is stacked, but I’m killing them in 3 rounds regardless and they have the same firing pattern. Is that right?

The loop itself and the rewards seem good. The hostiles are really too hard. My alliance are suffering in morale since this update launched. Its really poor that none of the team that comes up with these idea's actually plays the game. They need to reduce the difficulty on these, many lower levels not even engaged in this to get the free primes where it will be most useful for them. Side note, I wasted 2 tokens in the wrong system. The loot was poorly communicated. The level locked loot, is what people are not enjoying if they cant hit the higher ones needed. Quantity and no quality, good work Scopely!

What would you recommend for an Ops 53 player who just unlocked the Northcutt? At T1 it can’t kill the 51s, so it feels like I’m forced to go lower and miss out on the refine

I'm on 701 so we're still pre-ascension. Most of us in my alliance at 39 can kill them easily with our G3 Epics using Severus, Decius, Charvanek and a stacked below-decks. Averaging 4-5 kills per run, with some getting up to 7-8. Not terrible, but boy is this brutal!

Hey recommendation fir level 39 and voyager is only ship I have that can reach the silent hostiles?

Ignoring the loop until later

1. Again, I have to watch your videos to find the system they are in. 2. Only had two tokens/chances to take out 6 lvl 41s for the event that's running. 3. Doesn't freakin' matter since even the lvl 41s one battle kill my ships with decent crews (Don't have Ent-E Picard or Voy Doc). Yeah, I don't think I will be spending for this arc.

This loop killed it for me. No more money. No more loops. I'm just going to be content with what I have and enjoy my alliance. Fuck this lol

As a new ish 46 with a T6 pilum, it took me 4 tokens to kill 2 hostiles using all the crews in the video. This is just a waste of time. Now I have to punch down just to finish the sms and get nothing but useless loot that I can't use

Your crew loadout for Silents is fine when you are at your level. I have yet to kill a silent at level 43.

But If you want to do the SLB event for new hostile you have to do the small hostile one! I am OP 62 I grind leveling my tier 12 Pilum in 41 System to get the point! My 61 Ops where I normal have to grind! Ist way to strong for my tier 9 Enterprise D I can only kill few hostile.! In My opinion the SLB event is not good design!. Is only a grind! Not about normal scoring. Only for the scoring and XP I using PM Tucker in the 41 System!

Lvl39 maxed augar, exocomp on, everything on decent crew and below decks, couldn't take out a lvl 41 didnt even scratch its paintwork.

From limited testing, SNW Spock works well as captain. From round 5 on, he eliminates crits, massively reducing incoming damage

@@derpizzadieb two things. Firstly, that requires full synergy this gives you two other officers to play with. Secondly, it's beginning of round five instead of end. How that shakes out depends on various things of course Edit: I don't have a good explorer but on my pilum, SNW Spock, SNW Uhura, Gorkon with Hugh below decks appears to do much better than stronger ships others are using with Severus

@@AnOminous1 Severus was a save bet for most on the day where there was an SMS attached to it. I've seen people experiment and fail to complete it. Now we had time to test, best crews seem to be ePicard, eData, Doc - if your combat is 5 rounds and more ePicard, eData, Tucker - if your combat is 5 rounds or less.

Lv 22, maybe close to 23 all the Ent. Coin. Used on the north star, all the other stuff I can get.....in the time

I wasted 6 tokens on yesterday's event and got nothing for it because scopley runs events like that before they distribute all the information.

JFC the lvl 50s punching down killing lvl 41 silent enemies for the SLB collecting stuff they can't even refine is RUINING this loop. as a lvl 45 who can only realistically hit the 41s I can't even get to any of them with these knuckle heads in system. add to it they won't even clear out the 44s and it's taking me 45 min or more per hull to complete

I don't have a lot of these officers still.

Where is the dolomite particle from exborg? I don't see it in the faction store

I was trying to find out myself... and they are in the mega chests which unlock at exalted which cost BANANAS amount of epic credits (which you obiously not get as much of). So either you buy, buy, buy some packs (NX-01 to get more stuff, ex-borg packs to get to exalted quickly or ex-borg packs to get more stuff) or it is a pretty insignificant amount that you will be getting. Or you are f2p and need like 4 months to get there, and by the time you get there, well, it does not matter as much then any more.

Scopely needs to fix the cash in process for the Temporal Disrupter parts. I turned lvl 52 last month and I atm only have 4* ships that still need 4* parts for my ships. So the 5* parts I cant use it just yet! Will they fix this issue soon?

I'm in exactly the same boat unfortunately. I wanted to spend a little time at 52 to level up my Korinar but 4* ship parts are going to be a huge problem. At the same time I went to 52 I tiered up my Voyager not even considering that now it wouldn't pay out 4* parts anymore so I screwed myself there as well.

I'm at 52, If your voyager is still t7 or below you can still get and refine 4* star parts that way, but it's still slower than it was when you were ops 50 and below.

Game is taking up far too much of my life, yes i actually have a life and i don’t want to waste it on this shit anymore

Pm tucker worked best on lvl 55

I use gladius maxed. 11 mil using dual photons

I used those recommended crew even with that enterprise shown and it didn't work. Below deck as shown.

So does this mean that if you farm up a bunch of the temporal disruptor parts and then level up, if you cross one of the bracket boundaries (e.g.. 49-50) all your farmed parts are useless and you've got to go farm something new for your turn-ins? Because if so, that is absolutely terrible game design...

Any tips for a 52 FTP, I can kill 46-49 easy but 51 completely wreck my Tier 8 Korinar with the suggested crews, as far as what we talked in my alliance, the only ones that can kill 51s are the ones that already have G5 Uncommon ships. I also tried max fortified from the Titan but nothing. Any assistance is apprepciated

Would need to see your research/buildings/etc., because we have people grinding the 51s with level 46 rares. It's def not easy though.

I was finaly able to kill 6 with my korinar t8, this is what I did, Janeway, Doctor, Ent E data, below Hugh, Harry, Bellana and Tendi, fortified and supported but I killed 6, the problem was that I was targeting Interceptors, I changed to attacking explorers

I'm lv46 w; p(114k) m(129k) c(59k), hugh troi-e badgey, cerritos, titan, relentless assault, 100% officer attack exo, valdore(tier 6), (many researches) =9 kills silent enemy lv41

Scopely keeps introducing grinds that need specific officers to be easy a little too much.....

I'm ops 45 my strongest ship valdore is 17 mill and it useless even with buffs against lvl 41 silent enemies and no i don't have any of the officers that were mentioned in vid. pmt in battle triangle doesn't do any damage, severus lnar and charvanek don't even make a dent. how am i supposed to do event when i can't even kill these new hostiles
