The 2100 had great power and every hp was straight to the pto lovely outfit and harvester going great there.

WOW! Great vid. This takes me back i was 16 driving on the local farm making silage like this. Even the music reminds me. Great happy days. still make silage now but with the newer tractors the "fun" Factor seems to have gone a bit.

The old man always had Nuffields 1060, 465 and leylands 384 270 and 272 synchro(she was the flagship😂). She was driven from D&E Mc Hugh and a double chop put behind her to wear it in💪 We still have it on the farm, power box on all winter and wrapper in summer. one owner from new!! Some traction in them old work horses. Very fond(and some not so fond) memories flat out all summer on it.

Memories of 1977... Leyland 2100 plus kidd full shop... Leyland 272 syncro with 8 ton teagle titans.. Leyland 262 with farmhand F12 loader on pit.... Leyland 270 on fahr km 22 with Leyland 270 on hay bob.. beautiful outfit..

Would have loved to be standing on the ditch.l drew in silage on a 270. 5 speed gearbox it would do 35 mph unreal traction she would lift herself in the front.cutting with a 2100 she was made for finland l would give anything to hear her now pulling a red 60 inch 339 double chop the ground would shake when passing with the full of the trailer couldn't wait for the summer hplidays. I was so proud to be driving for the best contractor in our cavan area hilly land . Best summers i had 81 to 90.

Marvellous! We are left wondering why we invest in these enormous tractors, foragers and trailers to do the same as they 16 years ago. Very interesting - any more in your archive? The video used to film it looks (from date and time) just like the one I had at that time. . . Alan

@rakerman Yeah Reminds me of your silage vid last year ..when you said something like Men only need apply ....Lots of noise and inhalation of diesel fumes i'd say ....
