i met sigourney weaver once. she was absolutely lovely. very polite, charming, elegant and a very nice lady.

Yes, and according to an interview with Clunes, it was through Selena that Ms. Weaver got the guest spot on DM. Love the show!

Never seen this before, really enjoyed this vid. Thanks for uploading. Heard about her being in it on that TV show ' Most shocking celeb moments 2015, this was used in a statement about something else as a pigs might fly type scenario, as in, the day that happens is the day Sigourney Weaver turns up in Doc Ma.... I love Sigourney Weaver. She's also done radio plays here in the UK hasn't she. I remember one about the Vietnam war on Radio 4. She's very good.

Sigourney Weaver's role here is not cameo. She is not appearing in the series as Sigourney Weaver herself but as a fictional character - Beth Traywick. If her name in the series is Sigourney Weaver, then yes, she is probably doing cameo appearance. Thumbs down for the questionable title.

Weaver was brilliant in this show but her part was altogether too short. She should be allowed to show up in 3 or 4 episodes. There is no way she and the doc will ever get on. Killing aliens was child's play.

Should've picked un ant-acids (get it? Because xenomorphs have acidic blood)

a guest role with dialogue is not the definition of "cameo."

I'm not in to self help books.

Question for Brits: do we Americans honestly act this rude in small English towns? It seems unrealistic to me BUT it must happen in order to have a stereotype established strongly enough to warrant this portrayal. If it is accurate then I feel shame and regret and I apologize.

I hope SW comes back for the new season; her story line was interesting. Boy that Mrs. Tishell is losing it, big time. Weird that the American character that SW plays seems to be afraid of her-- most Americans would come roaring to their feet and accuse the woman to her face, especially with the doc standing there. And him, he's dumb as a rock, couldn't see a case of abuse right under his nose if his life depended on it apparently. Can't wait for the next season!!

+Michael lynn They don't and you should. Cornwall is mysterious. Especially Penzance on a Saturday night. I've never seen so many out of work pirates full of rum and coke dressed up as out of work students with no college to go to. And then there's Mousehole. You haven't lived if you've never been to Mousehole. When you're there, whatever you do, don't forget The Lizard. See? Mysterious.

Michael lynn It's a show. But if you're worried about what people think of you, don't travel anywhere outside the U.S. jk It's just that Americans tend to know less about other cultures and social norms. Toes are stepped on.

You do not that this is a TV show don't you or do you think Harry Potter really is a wizard. And you might as well stay home as Americans aren't liked a lot of places.

I think I'm the only one who thinks that writing in a 30 second part for an aging American actress is NOT a good idea. It's uphill and becomes stereotypical. Now a medication induced psychosis including a delusion of being impregnated by an alien, that would have been a hoot.
