My little girl passed away a couple weeks ago and I miss her so much, I don’t regret anything and I know I have her the best life she could have had, but I would still give anything to hear her or pet her one last time, so do me a favor and cherish every moment with your special little friend. :)

What my piggies do almost everyday is whenever someone else like my mom holds them and gives them cuddles and I come and sit down they will jump out of her arms and come running up me! That’s what I look forward to everyday it’s so sweet seeing them both running towards me and jumping up to get me to hold them and hug them! 🥰💗

My guinea pig recently passed away its nice to know I was a trusted person in his life. He liked me instantly

I find this very accurate! Another sign, that I would have added, would be if you’re sitting down on the carpet and you place your guinea pig a few feet away and it comes running toward you and jumps into your arms or lap. :)

here's a sign if your hamster loves you, when you put it in the ball to clean his cage you feel a slight little bump wherever you go. he comes running to me and its the cutest thing ever.

Thanks for the tips. My piggies took time before truly trusting me and working on my two girls. Moxie is a bit more adventures then her counterpart Cherry being more cautious. My apartment is kinda small, and no room for cage in the main room so I have them in the kitchen. The tip about giving them a little snack when I get home is a good idea, never really thought of it.

I have one guinea pig I constantly spend time with him and he's happy I love I miss him so much whenever I go to school

I have 4 piggies and one of them is only 6 weeks old, I got her last week. Yesterday she squeaked at me for food for the first time and right now she's running around popcorning. She ate veggies out of my hand three days after I got her. I think she gets tame so fast because she's still a baby and watches the older ones be comfortable around me, so she kinda thinks "If the adults do it, it should be fine"? Haha I'm so happy she's already starting to trust me :)

I remember that I would come home and immediately get my little pig out, and then I would play with her, feed her, and talk to her. One time I had homework, and it was so heartbreaking when she was squeaking saying "Please play with me!". I hated the feeling and now I don't ever have much homework so I visit with her almost all the time now

My guinea pig knows when I’m abt to feed him. At 2:45 (when me and my twin sister give him his veggies). He starts squeaking so loud, and waits for us at the entrance of his cage. It’s so cute!

My guinea pigs get excited and squeak when they hear veggies being chopped and one of them likes to take them from my hand. Also licks my hand too. When I pick him up, he lies down and sometimes yawn. They so cute! ^-^ Still wanna get to know the other guinea pig, he's a bit shy..

Izzipotato what does your mom do differently? Is she the main one feeding them and cleaning their cage or spending the most time with them? Its irrelevent to them that you are the "owner" guinniea pigs do not "love" they learn to trust the one taking care of them, so be the main one to do that. Give them all of their treats and food and be patient. You may simply have to surrender them to your mom and start over with some new ones if they are trusting her more than you, their feelings are more important than yours in this situation because they cant talk things out and reason, all they can do is eat and cuddle occasionally. Do a lot of lap time, i rexxommend twice a day to build trust. I let mine chill on my stomach while i lay down and watch netflix and he seems to like watxhing tv with me and reacts to the noises and color changes.

I remember when I opened the fridge, my guinea pigs always started squeaking.

When I come home and take my schoolbag of , they. Go. Crazy. They weeing, running, and the youngest one sometimes even popcorning

As usual, your videos are fun, informative, and sweet! Plus, your fab five piggies won my heart on day one. I love them sooooooooo much! That "Wilmy" is everything, with that adorable face. Then again, there is Sylvester. Then again, there is sweet Pebbles. Then again, there is that adventurous Frieda. And who could not adore Little One? Oh, well, they are just too cute. I used to live on the third floor, and would get home from work between 4:30 and 5; as soon as I would open the complex door and start the stairs, OMG, I would start to hear them wheeking, peeping, getting louder with every stair! My cousin would say they would start to go nuts when the time would come for me to be expected home. Plus, at a certain time every Sat and Sun morning, early wheeking!!! They knew it was time for me to get up and would go nuts until I would come to see them. Every bag crunching, every fridge door opening, every time the sink would run; heck, when the microwave door would close (not sure how that figured in! No food was in there for them ever) - they were sure it was hay, cukes, carrots, watermelon, whatever. LOL

My guinea pig is a lil scared because it’s been a couple days but I can stroke one on the head and feed them by hand

Use fleece and towels for their bedding!! In my experience (especially with long haired piggies) paper bedding and other stuff gets messy and all in their hair. And it's more expensive, good luck with the new piggies!!❤️

Make sure there aren't any load noises near their cage, like a tv. Don't pet them if they do not like to be petted.

I have 3 piggies. One is more reluctant than the other 2 to come to the edge of the cage to say hello. The two outgoing piggies come as soon as they see me in the morning and greet me again loudly when I return from work - at the edge of the cage. They are so cute and so LOUD!! I love the 3 of them so much!

Both my guinea pigs used to like and trust me a lot, but every since one of them died a few days ago, the other has been completely terrified to even take food from me... will he get over this? Should I be worried?

candy cotton99 you've prob already got this, but she might just need another piggie. Since they're herd animals they're usu not happy and secure alone, and no matter how much we love and care for them, we just aren't the same as having a friend of the same species. I hope things get better. :)

I'm thinking maybe he/she just needs to get used to you. If you go to school, he might be lonely and get nippy. Get another guinea pig or try to get he/she out of the cage more often.

I have been home after work till I go to work next morning every day for the past 4 years and she shouts for food every day when I get up or get home.. Now Im out of town for work, when talking to my mom where I live and my piggy hears me naming her she shouts and shows happiness. Really happy

Sometimes they think you're food (hehe) or smell good - there are other times where you have been holding them too long during lap time or are bothered by something (or maybe you tried to pet them in a spot they don't like). They aren't mad at you and doesn't mean they don't like you! Some piggies are more nippy than others; however most times that will subside over time as they get closer to you.

Hand feeding is such a big trust excersize but once they start doing it regularly it's so exciting. There is nothing like waking up in the morning and hand feeding two happy piggies.

my little Milky loves me he nearly jumped out of his cage running to my lap! yay!

My Harley doesn’t run away anymore but will stare at me when I enter the room, he loves having his head held and stroked with my thumb, closes his eyes and just lays there. He only lets me do it and nudges other peoples hands away. He will sleep on my chest and purr whenever I scratch just the right spot. I love my baby 🥰

My little sister has a guinea pig named Grover, and he's the sweetest pig I've ever met. He'll sit patiently for you to pick him up, and when you hold him, he will sit calmly in your hands, maybe even sleep, and explore your face, usually with little nibbles on the nose. But when I'm near the cage, he'll regard me, but when she's near the cage, he'll run up, weeking like crazy with lots of nibbling her fingers and " popcorning'

Everytime I wake up, and open my bedroom my piggies always week!

I also had a guinea pig but just one not a family and during day was free to move in the room and I remember one time i was really sad and just sitting on the floor and my guinea pig just came to me and stayed right next to my leg I was so impressed by his attitude. I had no food he did not ask for anything just sat with me. Also me and my parents used to put him on our chest while watching tv and pet him for 1 hour or so every now and then. He usually enjoyed it sometimes even falling asleep with his legs stretched . Really they are amazing animals and can really form a bond with people.

Your guinea pigs are the cutest! One of my piggies runs out of hiding in his run when I come to the back garden door , they don’t squeak much
