Everything about this is natural genius. Stevie’s incredible voice, the ultra funky organ playing, the tight rhythm section and the fabulous backing singers. This is true MUSIC

Yeah, he's a far better interviewer than his contemporaries like Johnny Carson or Merv Griffin. He is a more cerebral and erudite host than the other two whom I find a bit cheesy (Carson) or smarmy (Griffing). He brought on more controversial figures to his show than the other two and he wasn't afraid to dig deep and ask difficult questions. He was aways charming and intelligent with his guests without being snobbish. Very quick witted and self-deprecating as well.
