Definitely strong , delete WhatsApp? not yet. I’m using signal for a few days now and I m starting to like it as much as I used to like WhatsApp , but as Alina said we need to have enough people to talk to😂

is it possible use both signal and whatsapp on your phone? I myself use only signal but my mother use whatsapp and the excuse is bc all her friends use it (obviously). But since i will never install whatsapp on my phone was wondering if my mom had both apps on her phone and when i call her using signal she receives the call through signal and her friends calls go through whatsapp. Is this possible or does whatsapp block signal (or vice versa)?

I’m confused 🤷🏾‍♂️ Signal doesn’t cooperate with authorities yet they help them solve cases 🤔

Actually, Signal can't do much to help police solve cases. In the instance Alina talked about, Signal could only give minimum info - when the accounts were created and when was the last time they were active. The rest was in the police' hands.

Im yet to see a video that is unbiased in explaining what is going on. What is Facebook planning to do with whatsapp? Facebook already bought whatsapp a long time ago, what is going to be different on feb 8?

I'm probably gonna start using signal only by the end of next month. Because thats when schools over and I wont have to be in gc's anymore. If my family doenst switch to signal, well then I guess we wont text anymore XD

When signal becomes bigger, they will find a way to earn money.. When they think about earning money, they will suggest gathering information.. When they start gathering information, they will change privacy rules.. I am not against Signal and I hope it will be better than WhatsApp.. Ah, finally.. Government will access everything in whatever app..

they will for sure start gathering information down the road lol. maybe im just naive but i dont get why people are freaking out so much. do you really care that they know where you're going for lunch or what you're doing today? i know theres the whole "they're selling our information for personal ads". But if we're going to be getting ads anyways, would you not rather see ads that pertain to you instead of random stuff? if anyone can help me understand the freakout please explain. also just a couple of examples here: when was the last time you called an uber or got food delivered, you're literally giving them your address do you use things like Google Opinion Rewards? if the answer is yes your location data is being sent somewhere and your survey answers are literally telling them where you're going do you use paypal? your banking information is going somewhere and paypal has been hacked plenty of times going to the theater? do you know how their system works and where ur information is being sent to like what movie you're watching?

It’s relevant for everyone. Even if the new policies don’t apply to you, if everyone migrates to Signal, you will naturally do it too. So it’s relevant.

Doesn't make them any less of a scummy company. I'm leaving regardless as their practices and the way they've handled this is just awful.
